As I write this, my heart is bleeding. It is unfortunate that there is always an individual who determines whether we deserve something positive in our lives, particularly in the workplace. these individuals have no understanding of our daily struggles to thrive, not only for ourselves, but also for our families. As a black child, one's hustle benefits the entire household, from sick parents to aunts and children. When one of us secures a proper job, the entire household benefits. Then a stranger from the workplace prejudice us, believing we do not deserve anything good in life. They view us solely based on our visible background, disregarding the circumstances that led us there. Here is my story: ACSA transferred us from a private company and placed us on a six-month probation. This was painful for some individuals, who believed we did not deserve anything positive in life. Unfortunately, some ACSA employees and supervisors were jealous that we would earn more than we did in the previous company, as if our salaries came from their pockets. During the six months, they repeatedly told us not to rejoice for this opportunity, as only selected individuals would continue with the contract. This eventually occurred, with their selection based on prejudice towards some of us. One reason for this prejudice is the fact that none of the dismissed individuals were coloured or white. I state this because when we inquired about the reason for our dismissal, they claimed it was due to our failure of the AVSEC training. This reason is questionable, as some individuals who were retained had also failed the AVSEC training or had not yet undergone training. Furthermore, the contract does not specify that failure of the AVSEC training results in dismissal...this is so disheartening, now it's as if we've wronged these people they even still withholding our salaries for March...senzeni na?
There is an *********** lady employed by Securitas specialize who has been withholding my provident fund claim condiments since September last year. Regrettably, she is unresponsive to calls and emails, and I have been unable to get in touch with her despite numerous attempts. With only her contact information available and the physical distance between us (I am in Cape Town, and she is in Johannesburg), I am unsure of how to proceed. Can anyone advise me on the best course of action?
Today marks Freedom Day, yet Airport Company South Africa (ACSA) withholds our payment for this month solely because we approached the bargaining council regarding our unfair dismissal. There's no such thing is freedom in this country. 😭🚮
Hi guys my name is Zukile Mninzi, am currently unemployed, I used to work for G4S, and here is my story: On the 12/01/2023 I got dismissed from G4S, on the 26/01/2023 I've app**** for provident fund, my documents were emailed to Salt by G4S, 8 weeks later I made a follow up regarding my payment, it was 29/03/2023 only to find out they haven't seen the email from G4S until that moment when I called them, they told me that the person who sent the email should have called them immediately after sending those documents because they're dealing with lots of emails. They apologize for the inconvenience, while also confirming that all my documents are correct as required, I must wait for another 2 to 3 months before I got paid. In June I made another follow up, I don't remember the date, they apologized again saying that they'll escalate the process, they can see that I've been waiting for a long time, they gave me 15 days to make another follow up, am telling you up until now I haven't received my provident fund 😭😭😭
