Pretended to assist in providing better interest rates, but never explained that it is debt review. I didn't need debt review - I was led to believe that this is purely a means to reduce interest rates. I tried to reverse the process but some documentation still went through, causing an administrative headache.
I needed to write a bad review of a business that, if it wasn't for drastic action, nearly made off with my money. I needed people to understand that this company could not be trusted and that buyers could possibly lose their money in what seems like a fraudulent business. Two reviews were removed for the use of derogatory language. I described the business as a scam (which it is), and then I described them as "deceptive" and "possibly fraudulent." Again this was flagged. How on earth can we warn people to avoid unethical businesses if we cannot use the right words to describe them? I didn't use bad language and was stating provable facts of my experience. Yet, Hellopeter decided that someone's feelings might get hurt. What kind of censorship is this? There must be a clear difference between derogation and stating facts. We cannot spare feelings when people may lose their hard-earned money to unethical businessmen!
<div>- I ordered a product that they never delivered - They promised a refund - Two months later there was still no refund - I had to resort to threatening legal action and media coverage to get any attention - Despite this, their inaction led me to request a refund at the repayment processor directly, who responded within minutes and sorted everything out - The service at PC Link Computers is bad bordering on non-existent - I cannot overemphasize how bad this experience was for me.</div>
Warning: Stay away. You may lose your money. Their service is bad and their website deceptive and possibly fraudulent. I spent money with this business. I did not receive a product, and after two months of fighting, I have not received a refund either.
I ordered a product via their import site on 16 April. They cancelled the order and promised a refund. It has now been two months and they still haven't refunded despite many support email requests. Also, they don't take calls! I bought from them before with no problems, but now it feels like a scam!
This review is for the CAPE GATE branch of Computer Mania. I had an insurance claim pending for a damaged laptop and needed a report detailing the damage so that the claim can go through. Lohan went out of his way to help me with a report and the claim went through successfully. I put him through his paces in requesting quotes for a replacement, which he handled without complaint. In fact, he did his best to give me the best prices possible. Unfortunately, I chose a very bad laptop. Shortly after setting it up it started overheating, the WiFi didn't work properly, and at some stage, the laptop simply stopped charging. I reported this to Lohan who promised to replace the machine. However, after yet another issue cropped up, I asked for a completely different model of laptop. There was no issue in replacing the previous laptop with this new model, and the whole transaction went very smoothly. My thanks to the team at Computer Mania Cape Gate for their willingness to help a very demanding customer!
Mr Fixit charged me a call-out fee, just to dent my dishwasher, and never to return again. Many calls and promises later and they never came back. They stole my money and damages my appliance.
