I am currently receiving the worst service from Van schaik bookstore and Internet express. On the 20th of January I ordered a book online because I could not get the book at the Van Schaik in my area. The order was supposed to be delivered by Internet Express within 4 to 8 working days. It is now the 16th working day (11th February 2025) and I still have not received my book. From the 2nd week of me ordering the book I started calling Van Schaik to find out what was the hold up but their agents keep giving me the same response which is "You'll get the book within this week" but by the end of the week the book is still not delivered. When I track where the book is on the Internet Express website it shows that the order has been in transit since the 30th of January 2025. I even took a step further to call Internet Express yesterday (10th February 2025) to find out when is my book going to be delivered and the agent told me she will call me back after 5 minutes because she wanted to call the warehouse to find out where the book is but she never called me back. I am falling behind on my studies because of this whole situation. This is by far my worst experience when it comes to ordering things online.

On the 17th of June this year I made a booking at the AHA hotel in Bloemfontein for me and my family. The reservation was made for the 15th till the 16th of September 2023. I paid an amount of R4270 for the reservation. A few weeks ago I received a call from the hotel and I was told that the hotel was closing down but I shouldn't worry because they have taken our reservations to another hotel and they have transferred our payments there. I subsequently made a call to that other hotel to confirm If that is true. To my surprise they knew nothing about the reservation. I decided to call AHA hotel again but their landline was no longer working. I took a further step of calling the central office of AHA hotels. The response I received was that they cannot help me since the hotel has not been under their management since August and that I made the booking at the Aha hotel in Bloemfontein rather than online. My argument to them was that when I made the booking the hotel was still under their management and the least they could do is call the management of the hotel at the time and push them to refund me. Unfortunately I did not receive any assistance from the AHA hotels central office. I still haven't received my money back and me and my family have to be in Bloemfontein on Friday the 15th of September. We have run out of options and we don't know what to do anymore.
