Advice: DO NOT SUPPORT I waited since April 2025 as I like to keep companies open as 1 bad review can break the company’s image, however, it seems as if this company does not care as I have been begging for my refund. Warning: Do not pay for delivery as they will never deliver and the sizes do not match the specs. I ordered the wood and delivery never happened, I wanted to work on this on the easter weekend and they asked me to arrange with a private person who they suggested as that individual would deliver before them. I asked them to make the arrangements as I didn’t know the individual. I had to pay the private person and I’m still waiting for my delivery refund. The initial delivery was ridiculous and they reduced it, however, it didn’t seem as if they had capacity to deliver in any case. The payment was made on 10 April 2025, confirmation provided that they received the payment was on 14 April, 17 April they assisted to get a private person to deliver, I immediately raised that the 38x114 was 6M instead of 6.6M. Since then I’ve been pulling my hair out to get a refund, compare the invoice to the pictures of the items delivered.
I was skeptical as it's the first time I purchased anything from here. I placed the order on Sunday night and received it on Tuesday. This was a fast and efficient experience.
I ordered from Makro online for the 1st time and never again. There was a special which I purchased on 31 July 2023 (6 x 750 ml Fat ******* Golden Reserve wine with a free 1.5 L bottle). I received the 6 x 750 ml's the next day (01 August 2023) without the 1.5 L bottle and I immediately called in and was advised to also send an email to makroonline.support@makro.co.za which I did. I also noticed that the special was extended to the end of August 2023. To date, I made 3 calls (01 Aug, 11 Aug, 04 Sep), I received multiple emails stating that everything was delivered so there's no issue or they will escalate it to the store, I received 1 call on 25 August stating that there is no stock so they cannot do anything and the call will be closed and after being patient I am now rating them here as really bad. 1. Do not keep specials if you cannot fulfil them 2. Do not extend specials if there is no stock 3. You cannot call at the end of the month when the issue was raised in the beginning This is really bad service!
