Have to be the absolute worst at customer service. Sent an online request a while ago for a financial adviser to contact me. He did ...made an appointment and did not pitch! Sent another today ...no response. I am in Gauteng! My sister has now put me in touch with a guy in the Cape who is helping me.
Ironic to say the least. Complained about my mother's doctor taking 4 days to get back to us. Yes they responded ...tthat it would take up to 10 days to get back to my complaint. Need I say more! Complaint was about lack of communication! Seriously !
A few years ago I would have given this facility a 5 star rating due to spinal fusions given to my late dad by the awesome Dr Branca and the follow up and communication by him and the amazing ward nurse Adelaide. That is why we chose it when my Mom was admitted on Thursday last week after having a stroke. Their standards have obviously dropped. Despite me phoning about 4 times a day .. asking and leaving messages ...got no feedback from Dr N in Neuro ward. Kept getting told he had not done his rounds yet! They also left mom on a guerney waiting for a CT scan for over 2 hours on that Thursday afternoon....my sister and niece waited in the coffee shop. 4 days later ...Sunday afternoon ...Dr N phoned me to say mom may be discharged the following day. Just absolutely disgusted and shocked to not get any feedback for so long. Sorry ...not going there again! Gift, the vampire nurse who took blood was the sweetest and kindest lady.
What an awesome experience. Took my 91 yr old mom to him today. She gets panic attacks when nervous but he immediately put both of us at ease. Spent time chatting with us before checking mom. He is just the best!! Was highly recommended by a friend and I can understand why. Does not do pregnancies...but then again....at 91 yrs old mom did not need that! :-)
Did not see a drop down box for hospitality or retirement places on Hello Peter so posting here. We moved my 91 yr old mom to Dolphins Guest House in Bredell, Kempton Park a few weeks ago. They cater for the elderly....so it is technically an assisted retirement/semi frail care for 34 guests but because of their amenities would definitely call it a guesthouse. Owners, Mathilda, Hercules and their team are totally hands on and give regular feedback and updates. The food is amazing and always served hot as they have their own kitchen. Mom gets fresh fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. Then a cereal of choice. Plus an English breakfast...she had bacon. Sausage, scrambled egg, tomato and toast this morning. Lunch today was fish and chips. Tonight it will be a burger or hot dog or wrap or something similar. They offer gym and art classes, indoor heated pool. Movie night with popcorn and liquor. Snack trolley available Monday or Friday (family determine budget). They even let me take a bottle of whisky so mom can have her 1 tot a night with Sprite at dinner. We set up a TV and DSTV in her room. We have both a group and famiky Whatsapp group....always get feedback or photos when mom has her hair done by their hairdresser on a Thursday. Residents love sitting in the beautiful gardens and looking at swan/ducks on the pond. ***s and chickens. A local school did a concert for them last Saturday. Their nurse picked up a medical condition that the previous useless frail care never did. Very happy to recommend this venue who truly care for their guests.
Just very surprised this so called "medical facility" is still open. Could write a book with what we have gone through with family and friends! I think the ratings say it all. If zero was an option then that would be my choice.
I am an estate agent opetating in Kempton Park for 20+ years. Recently, I had the pleasure of referring clients who wanted to buy or rent in Norwood, Observatory and Cyrildene surrounding areas. To Jonathon at HomeSold. I was extremely impressed by his work ethic, customer service and communication skills. Refreshing to know that I have now found someone I can confidently refer my clients to in these areas and know that they are in capable, caring and professional hands. Thank you Jonothan!!
Would love to give this facility 10 star service. Had a maxio facial operation on 16 November. The place is absolutely spotless as you would expect a medical facility to be. Was a seriously nervous patient but the nurses are absolutely awesome and joked and put me right at ease. Gosh I hope I am remembering their names...Mathilde and Rosemary ....you are very special!!! Big hugs again as I got them when I left.
Fedhealth have still not got back to me since my first complaint last Wednesday. Shocking service.
Have been a member since 2004 or 2005 at their highest premium with minimal use for their service, usually 2 doctors visit a year to renew a prescription. Had to downgrade last year to Flexifed 3 as I am a pensioner and cannot afford R8400+ per month. Tried for over 3 weeks to get an authorisation for dental surgery. Every time I phoned it was a different consultant who always complained about slow systems. (Fedhealth learn a lesson from Outsurance ...they allocate a specific sgent to deal with claims) They neger get back to you as the consultants say they do not have access for external phone calls. Between the doctor, clinic and I we sent numerous reports and xrays etc. Was due for surgery on 31st August at 09h00 that I eventually had to cancel due to no response from Fedhealth. At around 11h00 that morning I get a message saying that my doctor is not on their preferred provider list. Surely they could have told me that at the outset! Now rescheduled for 16th November and still waiting to hear from them. Reference 150923QVIF82 Would never ever recommend them to anyone!! Absolutely the worst service ever. So sad they have taken so much money from me over the years. Would have been better putting that into an interest bearing account and covered myself. Just absolutely shocked if this is how they trhink they can treat their members. Oh and if you try and phone them....expect to be on the phone for a minimum 15 to 20 minutes. Press this, press this then that, our lines are busy, adverts, our lines are busy (again) hopeless ...do not call yourselves a medical aid as you do not provide aid.
