So I purchased shares in 2019, an investment that was supposed to mature in five years. After the 5 years had lapsed I was told that I cannot be able to sell them yet because the markets were not doing well. I have just received the money seven years later, I invested a couple of thousands of rands and I received a mere R600. I'm sorry but I feel like I have just been ****MED. If I could I'd open a case against the board to be investigated because there's no way you can lose money just like that in a 5 years turned 7 years investment.
For the past five days I have been calling these guys for the same thing, channels blocked (amount owing). Everyday I call I get a new story, it's either that I'm owing or my funds were not allocated and they reconnect promising to allocate. The very next morning I go through the very same process, I can't help but think of someone who is in the rural area having to stay in long calls daily that they pay for which some of the consultants put me on hold and never came back. This service doesn't even deserve a single star.
Early Sept 2024 I got a call informing me that there will no longer be Standard Bank Limited insurance and everything (from my benefits to my debit orders) would be transferred to the new policy which is insurance brokers. They debited me twice for September, it is now exactly 7 days to the next debit order date, I still have 2 policies on my account, I have queried this with them, they told me to expect the refund in 7 days, we're now in day number 10 nothing has happened. They are making me hold the line for close to an hour without picking it, I stand a risk of being debited again. I don't know where to go because the branch says they can't help me I have to call the insurance branch.
Nhlakanipho was really helpful and patient with me, she was upfront with the information as well. I Appreciate your assistance Nhlaka.
