They're ageist and ableist. Our delivery didn't arrive on 25/11/2024 because the driver hooted twice within 20 seconds and then left. The same driver then phones us 5 times in a two minute period at 07:08 this morning to lay into me and demand whether or not he should deliver the package because "no one was there". He arrives at 12:20 on 26/11/2024 afternoon. Package is half open, he hooted twice within 30 seconds and was about to drive off when I pressed the gate open. I'm able-bodied and managed to track-and-field star my way to the gate. My parents (for whom the package was), are both 70 and my mother is physically disabled. I explained this to the driver and he looked at me as though my existence has brought dishonour upon humanity. He then proceeded to demand I give him my number to prevent "****" like this. Who raised you? Who speaks to another human being like that? I called FastWay because this behaviour isn't normal or acceptable. They hung up on me, twice. I thought the line died on the first call - nope. The grown woman at reception just hung up. Who raised these people? Why do they think it's okay to treat people like this? Unless you're into the trend of being treated like dirt as a patron, stay away from this business. Human decency and common courtesy are foreign concepts to FastWay and its employees. They're borderline abusive, and that's not lekker.
Their "Gin Box" gin is average and the accompaniments mediocre. There's a lot of potential, though. However, they will harass you despite being asked to be put on their Do Not Call list. I made lifestyle changes a few years ago in order to be supportive of a loved one who is a recovering alcoholic. This is why I asked to be put on their Do Not Call list. I clearly stated that it would be irresponsible and unsupportive of me to make further purchases from them as I live in the same home as a recovering alcoholic. They still call me. Repeatedly. And I've repeatedly asked them to put me on their Do Not Call list. I understand that Wine of the Month Club is a business and that they use cold calling as a means to generate solid leads. What I do not understand or respect is a company that doesn't give a hoot about who they target despite being asked to refrain from further engagement. It was annoying to start. Not it's harassment. I bought one box from them about three years ago. I asked to be put on the Do Not Call list two years ago. I've asked to be put on the list and have given the reasoning therefore on nine separate occasions (and counting). I have not initiated contact with this company other than the original box I ordered. WotM ought to be ashamed.
I've been trying to get hold of rain since April 2024 to unsubscribe. They don't respond when you submit a ticket and good luck trying to call them. I didn't have any issues with them until now. I've asked time and again for them to cancel my subscription. If they don't get back to me soon, I'll report them for ***** and hand the case over to the Ombudsman.
