My experience with Engel & Völkers Pretoria has been an absolute nightmare. From the very beginning, their lack of professionalism and care for tenants has been shocking. Despite notifying them multiple times about serious issues with the property, nothing was ever fixed. The gate was constantly broken, posing a security risk, yet they showed zero urgency to repair it. The black mold infestation in the kitchen was a health hazard, but they outright ignored my complaints about it. The situation got worse when the roof began leaking, causing extensive damage to my belongings, including electronic equipment. Instead of taking responsibility, they had the audacity to tell me to replace everything at my own cost, claiming it wasn't their problem. The damage to the roof was so severe it caused parts of it to break, yet they still refused to take any meaningful action. Their attitude was dismissive, and they showed no accountability for the state of the property. Engel & Völkers Pretoria is the epitome of negligence and disregard for tenants. I strongly advise anyone considering renting through them to steer clear—they will happily take your money but leave you to deal with the consequences of their incompetence.
I want to express my extreme dissatisfaction with this company. Despite receiving significant financial inflows, their service to guesthouses and hotels is abysmal. The service provided is far below acceptable standards. I urge all South Africans to stop using this product immediately. Instead, consider alternative platforms such as Google Hotels or local South African options like LekkeSlaap, SleepingOut, or SafariNow. Jané Smith demonstrated a lack of knowledge about the product, which resulted in significant wasted time and effort on my part. It seemed that her primary concern was taking money from me rather than providing the service I needed and requested. As a result, all the time I spent preparing and trying to make the product work was entirely wasted. I also realized that Kantar appears to be a *****ulent company with no real products or services to offer, seemingly focused only on taking money from people under the guise of a professional company.
