In store merchants and online merchants can process a payment from your card without a pin or a sure check. This happened today for a R1600 transaction that I TAPPED WITHOUT A PIN! So now I've blocked my card entirely and will go to another bank. Absa themselves told me that merchants need not require a pin irrespective of the amount. Which means that someone can just take my card and tap it until they drain my account. Then I have to log a case, go to the police station, get an affidavit and wait for their investigation to finish... This is ******* and UNACCEPTABLE!
Lol I thought I was just experiencing a random occurrence, but after looking here, it's clear that they don't care about service delivery or their customers. I get multiple messages per day from these clown, sometimes it says delivery on its way, sometimes it says delivery complete, sometimes it says delivery unsuccessful. I don't know what to do anymore, calling them is the biggest waste of time. They won't answer!!!
I started my process in February. I need to call them every month to resolve queries and issues. Kemp de Bruin (the attorneys) are making me run up and down to resend documents via post. DC, Kemp De Bruin and my debtors are not aligned. My court case for the debt counselling hearing is taking place nearly a YEAR! after I started the process. I'm not even confident that this is going to work out at this stage. I'm also sure this is not my last set of issues.
They insisted on not coming out and doing a quote and using pictures only which I said is a bad idea. They insisted, quoted me, finished 2/3 of the job and charged me double!, This is their number 061 148 5880
Broke their own T's and C's. Said they will deliver in 4 days, 5 days later (after taking my money) it says 2 weeks. I won't even be at home in 2 weeks to receive the parcel. They won't let us cancel orders. So what must I do now. I also see no responses to complaints here, probably wasting my time!
ABSA Life. Have these idiots ever tried calling themselves and know how annoying it is to listen to 2 minutes of useless info that nobody cares about! Every single day our Fibre goes down in randburg. What are these third world sods up to? I found out vumatel is actually a private company, but they are basically like the Givernment. The experience has been so miserable with them since day one.
Standard bank fraud is useless. The reason why we still have so much fraud is because when you try calling them they push you from pillar to post. 3 mobile is debiting our accounts with no authorisation and we let our banks know, but they do nothing!
Unauthorised debit orders from these guys of R211. Spend so much airtime calling the bank to reverse this. These guys are fruadsters!

Every other bank allows inter bank transfers to reflect immediately.</p> <p>For the past 10 years, my funds have always cleared immediately when doing Standardbank to Standardbank.</p> <p>Now it's 24 hrs! This is very poor banking service! Will be closing all 4 of my accounts. When it comes to emergencies, Standardbank is the last person to turn to.</p>
