They got hold of my card somehow (maybe a booking or browsing). Anyhow, I am a subscriber now (R196). I went to my account on the net. Apparently, you can join in the blink of an eye, but to cancel, you have to phone in. Allegedly, you only have to wait 2 minutes for an answer. At the time of this review, I had already been on the phone for 18 minutes. If they eventually answer, I am going to give them a piece of my mind.

It is a ****. I paid and cancelled. However, they kept on subtracting over R600 monthly after that. I believe the possitive reviews are ****s as well.

Canadian Embasasy Pretoria
My wife and I app**** for visas in early April 2024. Our travelling arrangements were for June 2024. We were well in time as we went through the same procedure in 2011/12. After submitting our biometric payment, we learned that considering a visa takes about 210 days. It, therefore, made no sense to travel from Bloemfontein to Pretoria, and we consequently withdrew our application. The Canadian Embassy now refuses to refund our fees (R5100 odd). Why did they not stop us before paying? We eventually redirected our travelling arrangements by visiting France. However, we lost a huge amount of our flight tickets. Do not think it is easy to talk to someone at the Embassy. Mostly, you will receive automated responses, and should a human mail, it will be very cryptic.

My expierience is similar to other trusting soles globally. I asked a question and paid R15. From the next month I was billed R781. Regrettably I failed to monitor my account closely. However, needless to say I never authorised the R781. I comunicated through email but they never quite explained how I opted for the monthly prescription except that I did. I believe that they lure you in with the R15 once off deal to get your card number and then hit you with the monthly deduction. How they justify that must be super shady. They promised to pay back the deduction but I already cancelled my card and I will not give them any further particulars of mine. I promised them that I will publish on Hellopeter and this is me sticking to my promise.
