no quality in product or service
The most unprofessional chain I have come across I opted to lay buy a TV stand as a single mom I do not want to incur debt With this unfortunately I count every cent I have. Upon my first payment I gave it a few days before I requested a statement for my records to keep track of what I was paying and to make sure that I was paying and would receive the correct items 1) After numerous requests not once did I receive an acknowledgment of payment or statement when I needed to collect the TV stand I received all sort of stories - I eventually arranged for someone to collect the stand for me. 2) They then refused to release the stand for a 200 odd that had not cleared into their account- despite sending proof of payment the day before and telling them someone would collect- no where did they say I must now wait for the payment to clear (besides this from a company that does not communicate) 3) I then had to arrange for someone to assist me in building up the stand that was not user friendly at all - upon following instructions of the manual the one bored fell and became un usable I contacted them AGAIN and was told they are unable to assist 4) A tv stand that has wheels and no stoppers and all sorts of plank is what I now sit with no quality in product or service

Clean escape smooth flying for HR
In the event of an ex employee been dismissed South African Express management and HR team were very keen on getting of the employee not considering his children, Firing the employee was part of the package due to his actions however based on the actions of the ex employee SAX was in a hurry to wash their hands off of the ex employee not taking into consideration his drug habit as well as the needs of his 3 minor children Though a divorce claim was requested from HR it seemed of non importance the needs and the future of the minor children A divorce claim was placed on the pension fund but SAX was in a hurry to "wash their hands: of the ex employee that they did not take into consideration that the funds would be spent merely on drugs and not supporting the children throughout the fight for the recognition of the matter SAX rushed that the funds be paid out directly to the ex employee knowing full well the background as well as the situation There is no disregard for the 3 minor children ages 6, 3 and 3 months where they were able to have a say to hold the pension fund back due to prejudice SAX Rushed a matter in order to get rid of the employee through paperwork and policies as to not to have to deal with the matter any further It is sad to say that in the knowledge of the events they had no disregard for the end result This from a very disappointed single mother of 3

Divorce Claim in favour of member
Based on my ex husbands policy where I completed a divorce claim I was not assisted as the policy was in a rush to pay out his policy to him though we were married in community of property Sanlam failed to see the reasoning behind the divorce claim due to drug addiction on the members part and myself raising 3 children with no support. Due to the rush to pay out the policy and not see the result to split the policy for the minor children The paid out funds is been spent merely on drugs. It saddens me to see that though there were divorce papers and procedures in place that Sanlam wanted to pay out asap in order for the funds not to gain anymore interest and write off the member despite my fight. Due to prejudice on the my part I am unable to take Sanlam up in court as I am taking care of my 3 children with no support The system Sanlam has obtained is not just and the matter was not dealt with correctly
