We hosted a wedding at this venue in June 2025 and had a very bad experience with the accommodation. Guests paid R900 per person per night, and this is what they received....what an embarrassment: One guest's shoes were ******, one room was dirty, bathroom with only a bath had no plug - so they could not bath/shower before or after the ceremony. These are only the incidents that we came aware of. Worst is to come: In the contract they pledge generators in case of power outages, but the power was off the Sunday morning when everybody was getting ready to leave... No power and no water! Power was on after everybody already gathered for a breakfast together. PS: This was one of the coldest weekends this winter. We confirmed the Friday afternoon that we will all gather at the deli on Sunday and the staff confirmed that they will be prepared. Even mentioned a special menu. On arrival, they were not prepared at all. Power off, only 2 burger buns, etc. So guests left without breakfast. We made the manager aware of the complaints. "IT IS AGAINST PROTOCOL THAT THE OWNER'S BE CONTACTED DIRECTLY" and we have to work through her. 5 months of back and forth excuses, we still were not given an answer on how our guests will be accommodated for this bad experience. They also refused to refund our breakage fee due to breakages charged in rooms where we did not even accommodate guests. Luckily we were refunded by the manager herself after many words. The food was exquisite, though - so much left overs. They could have served that for breakfast. This place made more than R200 000 for this weekend, EXCLUDING accommodation for more than 100 guests @ R900 per person per night.

I did a quote with Outsurance that I decided to accept. After 2 HOURS on the phone with the consultant confirming and reconfirming details, specifically our boat, the policy was issued the night before we went on holiday with a wonderful premium. Boat was covered for R300 000 and they would increase it to the real value of R700 000 after receipt of a valuation certificate. I was happy, because at least it was covered for half of the amount. I cancelled my current insurance. On our return, I went through the policy schedule and realized that not all our specified items were added to the policy, for example our smart whatches, my wedding ring, etc. No fishing equipment and no boat. we were on a fishing trip! Nothing would have been covered if something should have happened. They fool people with their CHEAP quotes and QUICK service.
We booked and paid for secure parking while away for a few days WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. The driver of CAP took our vehicle at the at the airport when we arrived at the spot instructed by the original company. On our return, we noticed that our vehicle drove 500km's since we left it. (We took a photo of the pedometer). On the tracking device report it revealed that he used our vehicle for 4 days driving around including in Thembisa until early hours of the mornings. Innocent - the contact person - refuses to give us the detail of the owner/manager. His email is another company - IMR secure Parking?? IMR does not exist anymore - so these people changes their company's name. I also suddenly now cannot find this CAP business on the internet anymore. It was there a week ago. Please make 100% sure that you hand your vehicle over to the CORRECT company's driver and ALWAYS take a picture of the pedometer. If we did not notice the kilometres we would never have known. Also get a tracking device report when you leave your vehicle with anybody. These people needs to get caught!

Good day, My domestic worker was sent for blood test by her GP regarding ****** stools. The blood tests done by Lancet diagnosed her INCORRECTLY as HIV positive!!! She went through extreme trauma for a week. She was send back for tests to Lancet 3 times during this period. She is a domestic worker and had to walk to and from the lab every time. At last she was informed that the HIV test came back negative. The GP send her for counselling. According to the doctor Lancet will “REFUND” all the costs to her medical aid. This is not a medical aid - it is medical insurance, so the refund will not benefit her at all. Lancet was also supposed to call her to apologize for this ********** mistake, but after months, she did not get any call op the sort. NOW!!!! She gets messages and calls to pay outstanding amounts to Lancet. I did send a mail to Lancet's client centre and demand that she gets a call to apologize and that this payment be waived. Did not get any reply back as yet. This kind of treatment of a person is UNACCEPTABLE.
