I went to buy a 9V battery from them to find out that Clicks in the same mall had the same Duracell plus. Checkers price was R114.00 per battery while all the other shops prices were 104.00 per battery. This is not the first time that I have found out that the Hyperma mall is over pricing their items, and also other shops in our area have better fruit, vegetables, and meat at better prices, the manager complains that they are losing customers to other shops in this area. I wonder why????????
I telephoned then this afternoon. went throw to the technician department (2) to speak to a technician about our slow Wi -Fi. the person on the other end first told me that there was no problem, ,to which I asked why my speed was low, he told us to reboot router, still the same speed, then was asked what cat we had, I gave him the information he asked for, was then told to reset router, still the same speed, he then said to change all settings on ethernet settings, then no Wi-Fi at all, He told me I must get a new router in Sandton at R240.00 or collect it myself. I told him I will buy one if need be, he then proceeded to tell me to test on the telephone my speed which was the speed I am paying for. I told him I don't think he knows what he is doing, and proceeded to end the call. I then went to what's up to see if somebody could help me the person who answered sent me all the information that we had spoke about on the telephone with the first person, it takes them for ever to answer on what's up, I asked him to call me back as I was using up all my data and air time, he said he could not call me I must phone on the toll free number, I closed the chat and call the free number and a Gentleman that answered after telling him what the problem was, immediately told us he was going to contact Metro Fiber and would call back which he did, to tell us there is a problem on Metro side. WHY did the first and second not have informed us the first time? Why did it have to take 3 people to find out the problem? Why do we have to send all day on the phone changing settings that were working okay? Why did they tell us our units and wiring is wrong? WHY?????????????????
Every time we sign into the Capitec online to pay accounts on the desktop computer on which we first have to do a selfie then scan the code then you get in to the account. We are busy trying to pay accounts then we receive an error message and it exits the app on the desktop, "Message: Please call the customer care for help if the problem happens again before paying the account see that it did not go through". Why is Capitec staff so *********** that they can not sort out this problem, it has been an on going story since the beginning of the year 2025. Every time we get told to "wait for 2 hours and try again" is this how Capitec is working lately no proper service. This happens with 3 accounts every month When we try to pay accounts. WHY???????????
Capitec bank is always off line. The staff are very disrespectful at the call Centre. Lady by the name of Yolanda has not been properly trained. Can not answerer question related to the banking accounts of their clients. I telephoned 3 times and nobody could answer my question. When you go into the account and go to the history of account and ask for a print out they give you 4 options Quick interchange file(Qif) Comma Separated Values (csv) Open Financial Exchange OFS-old) Open Financial Exchange (QFX-NEW) It does not matter which one you down load, on opening one is told File down loaded is *******. Down load again. When you contact them you are told you must e-mail the PDF document to yourself on opening the same story the file is *******. The staff at the bank helps one person but can't help anybody else with the same problem. hand the problem over to the next person who is suppose to help explain the problem but can not do it themselves. *********** of working with clients and explaining how to operate their system themselves . You have the app on the telephone they can't even work it. This is unacceptable to the clients I always had a good word for Capitec Bank but never again will I support them by telling other people to get an account at Capitec Bank.
I was there on the 14th March 2025 for cholesterol test. The young lady was very gentle and polite did not even feel the ***** of the needle never even had a blue mark not like the other lady that pinched the vein to catch the vein as my veins fall flat. I had a big black golf ball for a month in December 2024. But on the 20th of March my doctor contact me with results only to find out my results where somebody else result. I telephone 19 times to get my results only to have my calls stopped on the 4th ring. I received 3 calls from them over the day which as I was busy with other doctors and could not take their calls so I missed them. This is a disgrace as I done my best to get hold of them when I saw the missed calls. Now I have to waste more petrol to go so they can turn me into a pin cushion again. I did not sign up to be a learning target for them. The one that made the golf ball was a white lady very unpleasant. Totally unacceptable for a 73 year old to be treated like a target to practice
I have been buying at Hyperama for the past 30 years. We had a few Managers at the Hyperama, but after our lady Managers past away in June- July we now have a new manager. He says he comes from the Mall of Africa . We are customers who always buy a certain brand which is not on the shelves since he has taken over, when we spoke to him he said the items on the shelves are all the same, whether they are checkers or another brand they are all the same, we disagree as items have different things in them that do not agree with everybody. Some items have soya in and others don't. Not everybody likes soya. Some people like chakalaka others don't but you are told to deal with it, is this the service we can expect from Checkers. We have 10 different shops in our area that sells the brand that normal people want. All in a 8 km around the area so there for it is better to go to them and not deal with people that are not interested in there everyday customers that are living in this area for the last 50 years and have supported Checkers since they opened in the area +- 31 years ago. These other shops might have be more expensive by R10.00 but it is worth going to them to get your brand of the item you want and then you also find other brands you want and also get fresh vegetables.
