Horrible horrible aftersales service channels, can't get through via email, whats app or phoning. I can't dxpress enough how disgusted I am with this company ! Just trying to track my parcel, they won't tell me where my parcel is, when it will arrive, only the automated generic response, should arrive sometime later this week!! I need to know when, so that I can arrange to be home, they cannot expect me to jump through hoops the morning of delivery, this company has the attitude they are doing you a favor for handling your parcel, when they are getting fat cheques for it! So absolutely disgusted!!!!
I've absolutely had it with this #*$%#@ company! Since they started I have been a loyal supporter spending thousands of rands on their platform, in the beginning things were satisfying, but lately if you have sucessfully logged a return at TakeAlot, you can put that on your C.V as an Achievement. I've had so many hick ups with them recently, but the last one takes the cake! I purchased a purifier from GMC Airconditioning for 3K and the unit started giving problems after the 6 months, however it was still under manufacturer's warranty, so I sent it in with my fault description. GMC airconditioning evaluated the product and their summary was no smoke comes out of it and I ran it without a filter. Firstly my fault description said: It does not pick up my vapour smoke or dust anymore. The agent translated the fault description to GMC airconditioning as "smokes comes out of it.". I got phoned by a "specialized customer agent" investigating my case, as they now formed a special unit, to investigate claims above R500. I explained and he assured me he will put forward a motivation to credit my account. The supplier politely emailed me appologizing (by this time I had written a bad review on GMC Airconditioning also), and that he will instruct TakeAlot to issue a full refund. So eventually my account was credited, but when I tried to refund my credit, it said the credit is non-refundable as it originates from a gift voucher. I however paid with a card/cash for the unit that I sent back. When I emailed the "specialized customer agent", he informed me he will escalate it to the financial team, later that they, I emailed him again asking for feedback, he informed me it will take 3 to 5 days for feedback, as the finance team will have to trace the transaction to the root, however it was the system that app**** a gift voucher, and Zubair (the "Expert" Customer Agent), told me in his experience the system is never wrong. How on earth would I not know if someone gave me a gift voucher of R3000, Ive never purchased with a gift voucher on TakeAlot, and now they are forcing me to spend my money on their platform only. From past experiences sending over 500 emails on one particular return, I decided to just purchase something with the credit, as in the past they have wrongfully taken away credit of mine when I left it in my account, so I was scared rhe same thing would happen again. So I searched for something to purchase, purchased an Anbernic Retro RG35xx PLUs from Bored Ape Trading for R1999 (which I could have purchased on otger platforms like Bobshop for half the price), however my disgust would not end here, when I received my parcel I was excited to open ir, just to find it has allready been opened and used, and the supplier just sent me a returned unit, hoping I will keep it, so I sent it back as the screen after a few days refused to turn on. Now I am stuck with the same problem, thank goodness the return went sort of smoothly and I was credited, but again, I cannot refund my money as it "originates" from a "gift voucher", so now again I am forced to look for something to purchase, and I allready started praying that the unit is new firstly, and secondly, that it works correctly, and thirdly that it lasts, and fourtly that I can keep this item and be dobe with TakeAlot. The whole company is ***********, the system is ***********, the finance departmwnt is ***********, the customer service is ***********, the only thing that sort of functions also only with specific drivers, is the deliver guy, his name is Sokhaya and he is always so friendly and polite, and he always comes early, however he does not always deliver the parcels, and some of the drivers are also a hit and miss! I wish oh how badly I wish another company would magically pop up, and put TakeAlot in their place and out of business, I also shop on Bobshop, and have never had one issue with them, if items are faulty refunds go smoothly, suppliers are polite and helpfull, I just always opted for TakeAlot, because I though I had peace of mind with the 6 month return policy, but that is of no use if everytime you return something the whole process is extremely frustrating to say the very least. I looked at Amazon, but the same suppluers are selling their stuff there for tripple the price, it is just too expensive. I'm going back to old reliable brick and mortar shops for my large purchases, TakeAlot can get my chop change, and ai will only order there if it is something cheap and without a warranty, like tootpaste. I regret every single cent I ever spent at TakeAlot. And GMC airconditioning was only helpfull untill I gave them permission to remove the vad review I had written, when I contacted them after that to assist with my problem, as they told me if I have any trouble I should contact them and the will reach out to management directly, however when I contacted them after I approved for the bad review on hello peter to be removed, they just simply said I must follow the process of TakeAlot, they can't do anything about it. My Christmas wish is that another Company will launch in South Africa and bring TakeAlot back to earth!
I have to correct my previous review, I just don't know how to find it and edit it, so I am writing a new review. It has come to light that TakeAlot was at fault for the return process of the air purifier. And GMC so generously took the punch for it, and offered me a full refund, and even followed up whether TakeAlot has refunded me. And again TakeAlot credited my account, but only as a gift voucher, meaning the amount is non-refundable and I am forced to spend my money at TakeAlot. However this review is on GMC's exceptional service in prioritizing customer care satisfaction above profit, which has leaved an everlasting good impression on me, also telling me they highly value core values over profit. And I can without a doubt say if I am ever in a position to purchase an aircon I will pleasantly find pleasure in supproting GMC airconditioning. They have by far outshined any and all customer care level service of any company I have ever received! :-) Thank you so much dear Gareth, I will gladly support you when I am going to look into purchasing an air conditioning unit, as all your units have such good reviews on top of this exceptional service. Thank you for valueing custimer care over profit, I can't think of a single other company, that still has that core values instilled in their service! You are absolutely remarkable! Thank you for above excellent and exceptional service! I am definitely now one very satisfied customer! :-)
I am so disgusted with GMC Airconditioning, baught an air purifier for almost R3000 on TakeAlot, had a 24 month manufacturers warranty, so I was confident paying that price, after spending thousands on replacement filters, which keeps getting more and more expensive everytime, I got trouble with my unit, it was no longer picking up my vape smoke and purifying it and it also switched off randomly. So I logged a return, took out the filter, because I dindnt know if I was getting it back. They finished the assesment now, and they claimed I ran the unit without a filter that is why I saw smoke, they did not even properly read my fault with rhe unit, they also claim the unit does not switch off by itself as I claimed. Do I have a ghost in the house switching off my unit without my notice????? Now the warranty means absolutely nothing to me, they did not even open the unit to check why it is not picking up my smoke anymore. I am so extremely disgusted with GMC aircon, and my father is a airconditioning specialist and installs 1000's of aircons, I will definitely be mentioning to him to stay faaaarrrrrrrr away from this brand, as their aftersales service is horrible, and now I am stuck with a faulty unit that I cannot use. All in all probably (filters included) R20 000 down the drain. I wish I could curse on hello peter, I am so furious at this ********** service. Useless Company
