It was with delight that we learnt that DSTV had successfully negotiated a new deal to continue with the channels that would close down on 31st December 2025. However the new year has just been a continuation of the ******* that was served up in 2025. Reruns after reruns, movies that are 20 -30 years old. channels that you would have to be brain dead to appreciate. As a premium subscriber I watch about 10% of what is available, the rest is just mindless drivel which I have to pay for. The new series are shown on MNet to those that pay a fraction of the premiums. I believe the time is right South Africa to tell Multichoice to stick it and boycott them. I have been a subscriber for 40 years and have seen the standard deteriorate too *****ic levels
I have just reviewed the latest Woolworths catalogue " The Overachievers Christmas Guid" This is another example of the company's total arrogance. What this illustrates is you as a shopper are not an overachiever you can't afford the merchandise so don't shop at Woolworths. They forget that the success of the company is firmly in the hands of the ordinary consumer. I believe the time has come for consumers to vote with their feet and shop at the alternate companies in the market. The opposition has upped their game and provides good quality at reasonable prices. Mt philosophy in future will be shop at Woolworths only as an absolute last resort.
Last Friday I went into the Nedbank branch in Fourways Mall to fetch my credit card. First the branch has downsized and I must say it was disgusting. The staff milling around very unprofessional. I had to wait 45 minutes to get service even though I was second in the queue. I was served by an agent who really didn't know what she was doing asking banal question like how many card are you fetching. No apology for the wait. I am appalled that Nedbank, who I have banked with for years, could allow standards to drop so low.
A few weeks ago I wrote about their cost of lamb rib and loin chops being R369.99 per kg. Last week the price had dropped to R269,99 a KG. Once a again illustrates that we as customers are being **********. Did I get any response from my last review, hell no, illustrating the arrogance of staff at Woolworths.
I shop regularly at Woolworths. 10 days ago I purchased lamb rib and loin chops @R269.00 per kg. I went to buy some more today and to my utter amazement the price was R369.00 per kg. How is that possible? Oh for the days when Isobel Jones was the protector of consumers. I think it is about time the consumers vote with their feet and do something about the absolute ******* being perpetrated by not only Woolworths but all super market chains.
I posted a complaint about 2 weeks ago regarding Woolworths Lonehill. To date I have received absolutely no response from Woolworths. This is typical of this organisation, their default response is no response. Count me as totally unimpressed.
I shop at the Woolworths Lonehill at least 2 times a week and have done for years. My issues is that when paying with my Woolworths card they demand to see the card. This is done completely at random. When I ask why the answer I'm given is it's protocol or I want to check if it is you who owns the card. Non sensical. The staffs attitude is tantamount treating me like some ********. I have raised this issue as a complaint on the website and to date absolutely no response.
I had a Sunsynk solar system installed in 2022 by a registered Sunsynk installer. All went well until about 3 weeks ago when some strange readings happened. There is a 10 year warrentee on the system. When enquiring from Sunsynk as to the solution I was told they did not supply the battery, the battery was sourced from Heroldts who were the importers. Heroldts informed us that we had to have the battery removed and brought in for repairs. No backup would be supp**** and the installer had to remove and transport it in for repairs. How long that will take is anyone's guess. On top of that I have to pay the installer for the job. Typical of the type of service customers receive from suppliers. Be aware of this type of shoddy service supp**** by these two companies.
