My husband and I booked in solsands hotel on the 20th February 2026. Zain the front desk manager/receptionist was extremely rude and assuming that the man I was with was just going to drop me off at the hotel whereas my husband went to fetch our luggage. We are from Capetown. He treated us in a very unsavory manner whereas the night receptionist was amazing. This is not the first time this has happened and it's time I let the public know how you are welcomed in this hotel. The rooms are very clean, airconditioner works, nice place to stay but even if it was for free I would never visit again because Zain makes sure of that. He has a marvelous way of demeaning a person by the way he talks down to a person. He doesn't have any people skills and communication skills. He talks to us in a very angry tone of voice. The guard at the door recognized us immediately when we got there as he remembers us staying at the hotel previously. When we checked out taking the keys with us to hand it to the front desk Zains attitude towards us was absolutely terrible and in the manner that he asked us for the pouch which we left in the room which we were never told to bring back when we checked out was once again demeaning.he never smiles and talks down to us scolding us. He asked where is the pouch and remote and that we must go upstairs and fetch it which is fine but it's how he spoke to us again in a demeaning way. We had booked 2 rooms as I had some guests come to spend the evening with us. Even our guests got offended in the manner this Zain spoke to all of us. The one guest is going to another platform and share his experience with Zain. I do believe that this hotel is only 7 months old .....very nice hotel to stay but the attitude and the welcome experience with Zain is absolutely disgusting. My experience with Glen furniture removals also known as DUNCAN LOGISTICS have treated me unfairly and unjustly. I paid for my sisters goods to be transported from johannesburg to Capetown quoted by Duncan logistics. I paid a deposit and the goods were to arrive in Capetown last Friday on a shared load. After numerous calls back and forth we don't really know what the issue is that he has a 1000 different excuses not to deliver. He says he is waiting for a full load, then come and take our stuff, oh no he will deliver, then the next day come fetch the stuff and ge refuses to refubd our deposit. Remember my sister has already relocated to Capetown and is waiting for her stuff. The goods is now laying at Northgate storage facility which jabu the owner of Northgate storage has confirmed. Why is the goods at Northgate storage? Duncan is the most arrogant man and he has blocked my calls and says I can do whatever I want as he is not afraid. We are talking about people's furniture and hard earned money. My sister has relocated with no work,no money trying to find work in Capetown and rebuild their lives. This is such a blow to them as they have not even a bed to sleep on. I have the proof of payment and all recorded messages regarding this matter.
This is my follow up about Duncan logistics, on the 3rd december I asked Duncan logistics also known as Glen furniture removals for a quote to deliver goods from johannesburg to Capetown. Duncan face me a quote of R5000 on a shared load. He fetched the stuff and said that he will collect the fridge the next day. On the day as promised to collect he then says we must pay another R2775 as he misquoted for the goods. We then said it's fine don't worry to collect the fridge and he can deliver the other goods. When we called him on numerous occasions since the 3rd of December till today he has excuses upon excuses and threatens us to collect our stuff as he is not sure when he is delivering. We have a recorded message of him undertaking to deliver the goods on Tuesday the 09th december. When we called him today to ask where the goods are he doesn't answer our calls so we communicate via whattsap. All the messages are recorded on whattsap. Duncan says to collect our goods at Northgate storage. He will not give us a refund neither give us the proper address where the goods are. I have since laid a *****ulent case at fnb ref number 2025/3359193 and is going to the police station to lay a *****ulent case of theft against Duncan logistics. This man is a rude, arrogant man. One cannot even communicate with him. He will appear to be so sweet just to get your business to get your finances but after he gets your money he says he quoted the wrong amount and if you don't pay more he refuses to deliver your goods and refuses to take your phone calls and refuses to give you a refund saying the deposit we gave him will now be used to pay the workers to pick up your goods. I will not leave this man as I'm quite wealthy and I willl sue this man and expose him and even fly to johannesburg together with the authorities to bring justice to the people that this man has de*****ed. The goods belonged to a relative of mine. I was the one that paid for the goods. I will contact the association for transport, the ombudsmancand put this DUNCAN LOGISTICS on every public media, facebook etc to teach this man a lesson. Duncan is not even afraid of my first review .....this review was pending my first review on delivering our goods after over 100s of calls. It was either going to be good but it's turning out to be very bad as this Duncan is a *****, a *****, a **** etc.
Hi my name is Sharon Williams. I've made arrangements with Duncan from Duncan logistics with transporting a relatives goods from johannesburg to Capetown. I have paid a deposit of R2500 as i was quoted R5000 for the goods. I still have not had a response from Duncan regarding the delivery of the goods to Capetown as everytime I call the response if the truck has is not yet. I have sent a message asking Duncan what does this mean but to date have not yet received a response. I've called this morning again and all Duncan says I will call you back. I cannot even ask a question about the goods as he doesn't give a person a chance to ask when the goods will arrive. I don't want to make any judgements right now but I will wait and see how this comoany is. I'm a business women myself and runs my business with excellence and I expect the same from Duncan logistics. I will write another review of the outcome. Sharon williams
I've had so much of issues with FNB and would like to make others aware one must check the interest rate that FNB is charging clients. I had a balance outstanding of R321.60 and they stipulated their interest rate is 21% but if you multiply R321.60 x 21% the total is R67.54 even if they are charging you double it's supposed to have been R135.08 meaning they are charging for 55days. No one on fnb can help or give you answers as they don't know how to calculate it themselves and give you a million excuses.
My name is Sharon. I've had numerous problems with vodacom overcharging my husbands monthly subscriptions fees. I've called over a 100 times to rectify the billing but to date the same issue. They have eventually blocked all my calls to the call centre and emails. They have asked me to contact toby via whsttsap and when I deal with Toby the system says they encouraging a problem and that's as far as it goes. This us absolutely unacceptable. The call centre AI says due to *****ulent behavior my calls and emails are blocked. Can you imagine this. I'm taking this further to the ombudsman.
I have had a very bad experience with exclusive essentials better known to sell the famous gluco pro. I spoke to numerous consultants among them is sbusisiwe , nkosi and angelique on the phone numbers 0800014598 and 011 5687270. I have also sent them numerous whattsap messages as gluco pro increased my husband blood sugar level from 8 to 12.7 and when he went off it his blood sugar went back to 8. They sold me 3 bottles of which my husband only used 2 bottles. This product does not work for everyone. These consultants promised faithfully since the 08th october 2024 to collect the 2 unopened bottles and refund me the equivalent of the money paid. Everyday since the 08th october 2024 I have been calling but you only get empty promises and that someone will call me regarding the collection of the boxes. I threatened them to go to hello peter and put up a blog about how they conduct their business but they were not in the least bit concerned. I called angelique this morning and asked her what happened as no one called like she promised to collect the boxes and you will not believe what she did.....she started talking to someone else on another call while I'm a call to her and suddenly another women comes on the phone and says hello, hello hello.....there is no one on the phone. I said you can very well hear me and you are pretending. I put the phone down and redial the number. They allow the phone to ring and then pur me on voicemail. If this company is so legit there is no reason for them yo behave in the manner they are behaving. This is utterly unprofessional but they are so quick to phone you when you order from them and they basically deal with cash. I wonder if SARS know about this cash.
