I have been shopping at Takealot for more than 2 year's, spending quite a lot of money with no problems. However , a few months back my order was delivered incomplete. I raised a query with Takealot requesting a copy of the signed DN, as the parcel was delivered when I was not at home. I sent more than 20 emails and every time the email was "escalated " to another department. My order was short delivered with items to a value of more than R300. After months of emailing back and forth, Takealot gave me a voucher of R75 which I could not claim as the token number did not work. To date, almost a year later, no update on my query. Takealot is not living up to their policies and practices - will never spend a dime shopping at Takealot ever!
I would like to commend each and every staff member working at Astron Energy (petrol refuelling station) situated in Voortrekker Road, Brakpan. They are friendly, professional and helpful, treating customers at the fuel pumps as well as in the shop with respect. They are polite and service is fast and efficient. The owners should be proud to have these outstanding staff members in their employment. Well done to all the "Babelasie's"!
Shopping at the Gift Shoppe, Voortrekker Avenue in Brakpan is no longer a pleasure. I am aware that shoplifting is an ever increasing problem but to be followed through the aisles by staff breathing in your neck, constantly asking what you are looking for becomes very irritating. The security can much rather search customers before leaving the store. This trend is increasing in all shops owned by non South African people. Don't like being treated like a ******** shoplifting cheapies
Unique Store in Brakpan, Chinese owned shop stocking gifts, toys, haberdashery, stationery and other goodies. Store is well stocked with all sorts and pricing is very reasonable. However, I will not shop at Unique as the owners (Chinese couple) treats customers and staff with little to non respect. They are not able to speak English and when I tried to exchange a cheap pair of slip on shoes, the man and his wife yelled in their language at the staff member who tried to explain the reason for me requesting to exchange the shoes for a bigger size. I had my till slip and the shoes still had the pricing tag. They accused me of wearing the shoes and then asking for a refund which was incorrect. The store was full of customers at the time and I felt highly embarrassed by the Chinese couple. I ended up leaving the shoes on the counter. Please don't let the good pricing fool you into buying from them. If your purchase need to be exchanged for any reason be prepared for the worst experience ever
Ordered a parcel from China via Ebay in September 2024 with the estimated delivery date being 1 Dec 2024. Upon receipt of the tracking number I logged into the SAPO tracking website to check on the progress of delivery. On the website it stated that the parcel was sitting at Leraatsfontein Post Office and that a collection notice were already sent to collect the parcel. I have no idea how this could be possible in any way, as the parcel was meant to be delivered to Brenthurst Post Office in Gauteng. I contacted the email address provided on their website and requested that this incident be investigated as soon as possible. I also requested an explanation on how a collection notice was issued if the address on the DN or parcel was Gauteng but now sitting in Mpumalanga? Who did they send the notice for collection to as the recipient is situated in Gauteng? Surely they did not send the collection notice to myself in Gauteng to collect at Leraatsfontein in Mpumalanga ? Up to date (19 January 2025) I received no reply or response from SAPO customer service on the above! I strongly suggest that the email and contact details be reviewed as I am sure that the details on the website is non operational!

Being a much smaller company than their competitors, their product quality exceeds that of well known major brands. Not only is the quality of their products superior by far, they also go above and beyond in supporting small community projects. Their staff (specially Ms Lana Thurston) is helpful and their customer service comes highly rated. This company and their products (commonly known as Mr. SHEEN) is by far the best and I highly recommend trying out their product range...!
I earned quite a large amount of bonus funds via promotion offers whereby Hollywoodbets add a certain amount to a player's account in the form of bonus credits when depositing. I noticed that the bonus was in fact allocated to my account as per promotional offer with all deposits and these were noted on my account statement/transaction list. However, every time I won and requested a withdrawal, all the bonus credits earned were gone! This surely cannot be common practice? The bonus credits was earned by making deposits. How can these credits be reversed upon withdrawal of winnings from the deposits? The next concern I have also relates to bonus credits which cannot be used to play slots but only on sports betting. I placed bets on horseracing worth hundreds for which I received valid tickets. When checking my bets, it shows in my transaction query as Paid whenever I won a bet but the payment was never truly added as cash winnings which should increase my fund credit value. I contacted customer service more than once to query this and everytime I am told that the matter will be escalated to the relevant department for further investigation. I never got a reply on any of these queries. I see this as *****ulent activity and unfair practice....
