They gave me 188 as a welcome bonus and I won some money, I chatted to an agent and she said I needed to wager with more bets which I finished , when I wanted to make a withdrawal they asked me to first make a deposit of R350 which I did but I still could not make a withdrawal they said I must contact a VIP manager , my question is why did they lie to me, I can't even withdraw the money I deposited. Please help to make people aware this is a ****.
I got a call from clientele life selling a funeral policy, they gave me a quote, and I said I needed to make some comparisons. They continued to call me for 2 weeks daily until I asked them why the premium was so high, and the consultant said it's because of the benefits, which she explained. I agreed to take up the policy, and when she read out the terms and conditions, I heard her say that my benefits will only be available when I accept the debit check, which I did. I went on to ask if I could go use these vouchers today, and she said Certainly, I needed to upload their app to redeem the vouchers. I did that exactly, but till today there are no vouchers, their Whatsapp channel is useless you dont get assisted, sending them an email was also useless because no one bothered to call me while they called me daily when they wanted the sale. To me this is false marketing and other clients need to know about this too. They sell the benefit for you to agree to take up a policy but all this is made so easy and its not true. The debit order will go through because a debi check was accepted. My worry is that claims might be difficult to do here because they have *********** communication channels.
On the 4th of April 2025, I bought a Blu voucher on my African Bank app, but when I loaded it, it was marked as invalid on the Betway platform. I sent numerous emails to African Bank for assistance, and they would call me, but their consultants couldn't help for some reason, so I gave up. I contacted Blu voucher, and they said African Bank should give me the reference number of that voucher, but they didn't. I want those funds reversed to my account, or they must give me another voucher. I also had cancelled my funeral plan policy with African Bank because of the number of complaints I had that always went unresolved. I wrote an email to cancel the policy, and they still debited my account. I need those funds reversed also.
I have a dispute with Hollywoodbets, which started in 2021, when I complained about an available cash-out, and when I tried to withdraw the cash-out, there was an error on their website. I fortunately took screenshots and forwarded those to them, and asked them to rectify. Till today, they have always told me it is with the investigating department. I need help because clearly they are not willing to refund me.
I have had 3 unresolved queries with african bank, which resulted in me sending out an email for them to cancel a policy that I had recently took up. After a month they continued to deduct , I contacted them and they asked that I forward the email for cancelation which I did and tgey promised to get back to me. When their consultants call they always have a network issue and we end up not resolving anything and they quickly write an email stating they tried to contact me but failed which means they are not willing to assist. I have no faith in this bank and would never recommend friends and family to bank with them .This funeral plan policy is the 4thcomplaint tgey never reverse any of my funds and I reached out to the ombudsman because I feel I am being treated unfairly with my funds.
