Congratulations to the Manager at Dischem Brackendowns. I had a problem with people who are not disabled parking in those bays without any consideration. On Saturdays, the biltong shop put up a tent, making the parking unavailable on a regular basis. Eventually, we brought it to the attention of the manager at Dischem. Almost immediately, the bays were repainted for visibility, and signs were erected indicating that the parking is for disabled individuals only. Since then, we haven't seen the biltong shop set up their tent in that place. Another thing we noticed is that he is the go-to person for his knowledge in the centre, while the centre management is always unavailable. We feel comfortable approaching him with any issues related to Dischem operations and disability parking. Unfortunately, the issues around disabled parking lie directly with the guards, as they don't care as long as they receive money. As this person should be treasured in your organisation I truly hope Dischem takes considerate measures for this Manager's endless strive for client satisfaction.
At Xmas I received a voucher from Sorbet. I choose to do gelish for feet as due to being disabled for 4years this was a big treat for me. Going into Sorbet my challenge was to climb the one stair to the chair. I asked the 2 staff members in front asking if there is another resolution. To divert the question, they proceed to ask, did I have an appoint book, which obviously don't have because I used Sorbet when I had no mobility problems, they always available. Then to get me out the shop, they said they are fully booked for the day anyway. I knew they were lying. I left the shop feeling my short coming should not warrant this kind of service and was totally out of line. A half an hour later my husband phoned the same Sorbet an asked if his wife can come in. The reply was we are free all day!!! I wrote a letter to Sorbet head office explaining what has happened and I want to be refunded. A long response came about sorry for your experience they will refer this up the relevant store owner. There was no further information on the amount or nothing. I sent back a message say I don't care about their internal findings, I want a refund. It then came apparent I was communicating with AI. Till today no-one has responded. Subsequently I found another nail bar and all she did was sit on typist chair and lower to the extent my leg can rise at a comfortable level. That is all the they could have done in Sorbet but they are just too lazy. As far as sorbet group your salon discriminate disabled people. This also falls under the banner of people with people who have a temporary operation and have minimal use. Fortunately for me I found someone, but would never ever support you, even when I am walking again. Absolutely disgraceful company
I have a major issues with the disabled parking bays, especially by food *****s, to the point I don't want to shop there. There is never parking available at any point of time during the day Elderly individuals who are capable of driving and pushing a trolley should not use their age as an excuse to park in handicap spaces. People believe that having a disabled person remain in the car while they shop allows them to take advantage of the disabled parking bay. Inconsiderable The primary issue lies with the guards, as they allow anyone in for money, showing no respect and only greed. The problem originates with them and the centre management for not having proper rules. No vehicle should be permitted to park in a handicap space without the appropriate stickers, unequivocally. The guard needs to watch if they disabled or not I question the people who are disabled are really are, as I hardly see anyone in a wheelchair around the mall. What has happened to wheel clamping and fines? In my efforts to report my frustration to Management, I sent mall to the contact to provide Management details - No reply. I then selected the Sales Manager's email from their site and the email came back, the email address is not valid I am very disappointed that normal people take the only advantage of a disabled person away
There has been countless time that the disabled bays are taken up near mug and bean are taken. I only had once when a bay is available. Also notice a Burgundy SUV parked there all the time In our dilemma to find parking on the 1st floor we decided the ba*****t will be our only choice but again ALL the disabled bays were taken up, either by staff or shoppers to their convenience. No care that the door needs space to open for a people with mobility issues. Why are these bays not monitored and clamped and fined accordingly. Seeing another person in a wheelchair in the centre is very rare, so why are these bays taken by normal people as this is a one of right a disabled person has.
