Whatever you do, do not buy on credit from Bradlows or connect financial solutions as they refer to their credit wing. I bought a a bed and a fridge from them in December and I told the lady at the store that I would settle the account soon. On my first month I gave them +/-20% of what I owed them then in March upon receiving some money and my statement I decide that it is time to settle the account, I send an email to Lionel Evans to query about finance raising fees and subsequently to close the account because the fees do not make sense. I am told by Lionel how much I owe and I deposit the money which I was told, however on the 1st of April i am told that I owe them R612 which I have queried from call centre agents to floor managers Cynthia Mkwa**** and nobody can answer what is really happening. Cynthia was able to show me though that from a balance of R0 every single month my "finance raising fees grow by about R600 per month." Finance raising fees are interest by the way and I am told that regardless of the fact that I paid what was due to them the interest is charged on the value of the full amount, which sounds like an utter **** to me.

first things first why does MTN have such useless personell at the customer care department?

I spoke to a useless person called Siyabonga Zwane who insisted that I am a liar, he was not willing to listen to my issues and on top of all of that he was plain RUDE!

Here I was wanting to invest in their share scheme but after that treatment and reading up on all the unanswered complaints on this website about the bad service and the works goodness that idea is out the window.

My main issue is this why does MTN decide that your airtime should be used in a certain way I had airtime I used their supposed free aitime and now I have only R6 airtime left how on Gods green planet does airtime work on the MTN network If I can just have that explanation I will be very happy. Do you guys perhaps use some very complex algorithms that require 4th year applied mathematics to understand or what I am confused.

So I see, hear and read a lot of adverts and people telling me that capitec is different, they are for the clients, they are flexible and ice cream and cake.

BUT

After today I am not so sure of this.

Its good and all when we get educated about all the benefits and ways to save money when using capitec but when the different ways do not work what then?

After trying to deposit money into an ATM in hatfield I asked "consultant 2" (since we do not wear name tags here) about what the implications are to me, Obviously I will pay the charge for choosing to deposit inside, I did not really mind this but what really grated my gears was how it was explained to me. Consultant 2 looks at her friend and says "You know it is very interesting how customers never wanted to use the ATM but now we get told about how they are charged more for not using the ATM" ok cool I ignore the sarcasm in the exchange and I then ask, why is it that I should pay a bit more because it is not really my fault that the ATM is not working, to which I get then why do you not go to Menlyn and a lot of other jibber jabber.

As I said i did not really mind about the charges, I am for treating clients with respect it is not my fault that you have had a bad day I come in with my struggles and my dillemas and to made to feel like I made a bad decision coming to the Bank on that day is really sad. Perhaps I did make a bad decision joining capitec who knows?

When reflect on the issue I remember working at another bank and facing the same issue we dealt with it by simply aknowledging to the customers that there is a problem but please go to such a teller tell them about the problem and you will get a discount on pricing, ofcourse you will get those people that will complain and be a handful, but at the end of the day, when you went to apply for a job to work in that workplace nobody had a gun against your head forcing you to apply for the job.

Treat your clients right and the rest becomes easy.
