This restaurant has some stiff competition in the area and they have risen admirably to the challenge. They are open Mondays, when just about every other eating establishment is closed, and close on Tuesdays instead. Their food is very good, and very well prices, their service is excellent , and their view is stunning. They are spacious enough for functions to happen alongside regular custom. And the menu makes it clear that vegetarians are welcome, rather than being made to feel like a rare and avoidable breed.
I love the ethics of this business and their level of service. They're not a franchise and maybe that's why their service is better than anyone else's in Worcester.
This is my second review of this business. They are quick to give you the money, and for most of us, this is short-term relief because of a financial crisis of some sort. BUT: they consistently debited by account a week before my pension is paid, entitling themselves to collect interest on my loan. I never once reneged on my payments: they all went through, without exception, on the day my pension is paid in. No matter how many emails I sent to Mpowa, 99 percent of which were ignored, they would not change my payment date. I sent statements at least ten times to prove my point. No luck. I will not be using them again.
My Glass drove out to the farm where we live. They arrived on time, they were friendly, courteous and efficient. Thank you to Lincoln and his assistant from My Glass Wellington, Western Cape.
Outsurance have insured me for ten years. So far I have only received excellent service from them.
So this is how they operate: I state clearly that my salary date is the 24th of each month. They insist, even after numerous emails and receipt of bank statements, that it's the 17th or 19th, depending on some arbitrary algorithm. What it's really about is increasing your interest rate on your next loan, because you haven't paid them back on the 19th. Because your salary only arrives on the 24th. This is deliberate.
I submitted bank statements, on the basis of which Mpowafin deduced that my payday was the 19th of each month, despite the fact that I said it is the 24th, and that I was twice paid early because of faulty administrative procedures. However, they continued to insist that it was the 19th, although all my statements showed the 24th as my payday. In other words, apart from those two instances, all my other statements show the 24th as my payday. They said not to worry, though, as they would continue to track the payment for 7 days. However, as soon as the 19th passed, they sent an email threatening penalty fees and credit down-rating. No doubt they will now give themselves permission to recoup the maximum amount from my account in the 24th. This ends my relationship with Mpowafin. They are indeed loansharks, as many of the reviews state.
I phoned in to cancel my Mom's policy with OutSurance, as she no longer requires short-term insurance. They cancelled her premium, updated my details, and reduced my overall premium by one third, which is a much-needed saving at this stage. Thank you, Thato Ferland for looking at how you could save me some money.
Please note this review is for CTM online. I've had fantastic in-store service from CTM for years BUT their online service is the most dismal online (dis)service I've ever experienced. I will never subject myself to it again.
