I asked again what the price was and already he was putting it on my phone and O was told not to worry they’ll give me a good price they then proceeded to put a camera protector on again I asked how much and I got the same response, they then got a phone cover and put it on, I asked the same question again, they calculated and it was R1,500! I said no way I only wanted a screen protector, they removed the cover and said R850 for the screen protector and camera protector. I said O didn’t want any of the items and was told they wouldn’t take them off. I finally walked out having paid R650 for something I could have got for half the price!
I went in to Midsteam Mediclinic to have major spinal surgery in October. It was very difficult to find a nurse when I was in ICU. I couldn’t find my call button on multiple occasions and couldn’t turn over or even move to try to find it, so resorted to calling out for someone to assist me - sometimes for several minutes. This went on for 5 days! On one occasion my visitor - who was with me for more than 2 hours went to locate a nurse (I was supposed to be turned every hour) only to find them all in the nurses station! The patients were being ignored. The worst part is because of their neglect I became over hydrated to such an extent that I had a cardiac arrest! A sister then came and shoved a mask on me and when I tried to say that I was claustrophobic I was shouted at and was threatened to be restrained. I put in a complaint - at the suggestion of my surgeon - with the hospital and with the matron of the ICU. I was told that the sister in question would be reported to the agency. The agency!! This is one of the most expensive Medi clinics in the country and they get their nursing staff from an agency? They know nothing about your medical history and obviously don’t check the charts or they wouldn’t have over hydrated me or neglected turning me or even checked on me! When I asked about the neglect by the staff I was told that she would look into it. I have heard nothing back, even though I emphasised the fact that I could have died of the cardiac arrest. The nurses in the ward were very unfriendly and extremely rough with my brace when turning me over. When again I couldn’t find my call button I had a panic attack I was so traumatised after my treatment in ICU.
This company is a total rip-off. I ordered a top for R1,299 and I received an item from China worth no more than R200. It looks like TEMU or Shein but is of very low quality. I don’t know if it will survive 1 wash! They promise a refund and then say they’ll give you 40% and you can keep the item. I queried them and 2 days later was told that they would give me 20% refund. They are now not responding to my emails. Don’t deal with them!
