VUM Insurance has terrible customer "service", & works with an equally nonchalant broker: VERVE Financial Solutions. Both these companies treat their customers very poorly from a service perspective. They do not respond to customer queries unless one constantly follows up, and they increase monthly premiums often without informing customers why. I am looking for an alternative insurer. I don't pay money to companies that couldn't care less.
I bought a brand new SUZUKI SWIFT 1.2 GL + in 2024. On 24 June 2025, the car failed a roadworthy test because the rear shocks were leaking. The rear shocks have to be replaced, at 47,000 km. SUZUKI AUTO SOUTH AFRICA has advised that warranty on shocks only applies until 30,000 km. Talk about bad quality: Suzuki does not expect their shocks to last past 30,000 km. Advice: don't buy Suzuki cars. Low quality.
Cartrack (Car TracK), the vehicle tracking company, of which I am currently a customer, is refusing to recover my company's vehicle, a vehicle that has been hijacked. Cartrack knows the location of the vehicle, but is refusing to recover the vehicle. On Sunday 27 April 2025, another one of my company's vehicles was hijacked, and Cartrack failed to recover the vehicle. So much for a 90% + vehicle recovery rate.
