I was only informed about the iSmart electricity system in late February 2026, yet when I registered, my account was already in arrears by R1,296 dating back to February 2025. I was never given access to the system before this, never received statements, and was never informed that I needed to monitor my electricity usage through this platform. After raising this issue, I requested assistance from property management, only to be told to contact the service provider myself. To date, I have still not received proper assistance or clear answers. My electricity remains disconnected while this matter is unresolved, which is completely unacceptable. Based on similar complaints I am seeing here, this situation raises serious concerns about how accounts are being handled and communicated to tenants. I urgently require: Immediate restoration of electricity A full explanation of the R1,296 charges Proper assistance in resolving this matter This lack of service and accountability is unacceptable.
Not even worth 1 star. This agency is a complete joke. I’m telling you now – NEVER rent from these people. I stayed in one of their places and the rent randomly went up by R200 every single month. I reported a water leak – nothing. I had to chase them multiple times just to get a useless response, and STILL no one came to fix it. From the day I moved in, there was no light in the bathroom because of a short circuit – guess what? That was never fixed either. Zero responsibility, zero effort. When I moved out, I scrubbed everything top to bottom – walls, cupboards – because I already knew how they love pulling charges out of their ass. The agent came for the inspection and everything was “fine” – no issues were mentioned. But surprise surprise, when I got my deposit invoice, suddenly there were all these made-up charges for “damage” that were never even mentioned during the inspection. Complete BS. Also, let’s not forget – general wear and tear is NOT legally chargeable, but clearly they don’t care about the law. Just another money-grabbing, ****my agency trying to rip people off. I’m now fighting to get my OWN money back. This is honestly the sh*ttiest place I’ve ever rented from in my life. Avoid them like the plague. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Rain service sucks firstly there’s never signal ,secondly Every month I have to log a query because you did not recieve payment and when you do log a query it takes about 3 weeks for your agents to call back , your customer service is poor and sucks at this point you can cancel the subscription on behalf of the whole country!!!!!
