Active since Jul 2025
I am extremely disappointed with the poor service and inaccurate reporting by Experian. I previously disputed the Acquifin account ACQUFIN - 34276790 under dispute reference EXP20260327-CD189904. The dispute was resolved in my favour, and the account was confirmed as closed. Despite this, the account has suddenly reappeared as OPEN on my credit profile without any explanation or notification. This is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about Experian’s data accuracy and dispute resolution processes. How can an account that was officially resolved and closed suddenly become active again? Consumers rely on credit bureaus to report accurate information, especially when applying for finance. Incorrectly re-listing accounts can negatively impact a person’s credit profile and financial opportunities. What makes this even more frustrating is that I already provided all the required supporting documents during the dispute process, and the matter was supposedly finalised. Now I am forced to deal with the exact same issue again because of Experian’s negligence. Experian needs to: * Immediately correct and close the account ACQUFIN - 34276790 again * Remove any incorrect outstanding balance linked to this account * Explain how a resolved dispute was reversed despite the dispute outcome already being in my favour * Improve their internal controls and customer service processes This level of incompetence from a major credit bureau is unacceptable.
I am extremely frustrated with Experian’s unrealistic and unreadable scoring system. My credit score recently dropped despite there being absolutely no negative activity on my profile. No missed payments, no new debt, no increased balances, no defaults — literally nothing changed, yet my score somehow decreased. How does a scoring system punish consumers for maintaining stable and responsible credit behaviour? It completely defeats the purpose of monitoring and improving your credit profile. Consumers are expected to trust these scores when applying for finance, but the calculations seem inconsistent and impossible to understand. What makes this worse is that there is little to no transparency on what actually caused the drop. If there is no negative activity, why is the score decreasing? A credit bureau should provide accurate, logical, and fair scoring — not random fluctuations that negatively impact consumers for no reason. Experian seriously needs to improve the transparency and reliability of its scoring model because at this point it feels unrealistic and unreliable.
I am beyond frustrated with Experian’s completely flawed and misleading credit scoring system. My credit score has been decreasing month after month, despite the fact that I currently have 5 active accounts, all in good standing with a perfect payment history. There is absolutely no logical justification for this, and it raises serious concerns about the credibility of Experian’s scoring model. When I contacted Experian via their chat support, I was told that my score is being negatively affected by arrears on closed accounts. These accounts were settled and closed nearly a year ago. It is completely unreasonable and frankly unacceptable that issues on accounts that no longer exist are still being used so heavily against me. What is the point of paying off accounts and maintaining excellent payment behaviour if Experian continues to punish consumers indefinitely? Your system clearly does not fairly reflect current financial responsibility and instead seems designed to keep consumers trapped by their past, no matter how much they improve. This is not just frustrating — it is misleading and damaging. A credit score is supposed to be an accurate reflection of current creditworthiness, not a tool that ignores positive behaviour while amplifying outdated negatives. I demand a proper, transparent explanation of how this scoring system works and why my active, well-managed accounts are not being given the weight they deserve. Right now, this system feels fundamentally broken. Experian needs to urgently review and fix this, because as it stands, it is unfair, inconsistent, and completely unreliable.
I am extremely frustrated with TransUnion regarding an account that was fully settled and closed in May 2025. This account, relating to Acquifin (Account Number: 34276790), was paid in full, and my records clearly reflect that it was closed thereafter. However, to my surprise, the same account has now reappeared on my credit profile as open, which is both incorrect and damaging to my creditworthiness. To make matters worse, I formally disputed this with TransUnion and submitted all the required supporting documents, including the paid-up letter confirming settlement. Despite this, the dispute was closed without correcting the account status, and the account still reflects as open. This is highly concerning and reflects a failure to properly investigate the dispute. This kind of inaccurate reporting is unacceptable. Credit bureaus have a responsibility to ensure that the information they publish is accurate, up to date, and fair. Re-listing a previously settled and closed account as active creates unnecessary financial prejudice and negatively impacts my credit score. I have made every effort to maintain a good credit record, and this error undermines that. I request that TransUnion urgently investigate this matter, correct the status of the account, and ensure that my credit profile accurately reflects that the account was settled and closed in May 2025.
If I could give -100, I would. You guys sucks. You don’t update the credit bureaus regularly with the payment history. What the hell man .
Today is the 15th and you guys haven’t updated the credit bureaus. What the hell?
I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Experian regarding my recent dispute. A default listing appears on my credit report. According to Experian’s own dispute requirements, the supporting documentation required is either a statement reflecting the correct status of the account or a paid-up letter. I submitted a statement as part of my dispute. Instead of conducting a proper investigation, Experian cancelled the dispute. This is unacceptable. If your stated requirement is either a statement or a paid-up letter, then the submission of a statement should trigger a full reinvestigation — not a cancellation. It appears that disputes are being dismissed without properly assessing the documentation provided. In addition to this, I am also concerned about my credit score not reflecting my positive payment behaviour. I currently have active accounts that are paid on time and in good standing every single month. Despite maintaining responsible credit behaviour, my score remains stagnant and does not seem to move accordingly
The worse credit bureau ever. Score remains the same, or drop points drastically. My score is 652 on Transunion and 615 on Experian. Make it make sense??
I have had a very disappointing experience with Experian South Africa. Although all disputes on my credit record have been fully resolved, my ID number remains incorrectly linked to an active dispute, and my credit score has not been updated. I was explicitly advised that the dispute flag would be removed within 3 to 5 business days after resolution. This period has long passed, yet the dispute indicator is still reflecting on my profile. I followed the correct dispute process, submitted all required documentation, and received confirmation that the disputes were finalised. Despite this, Experian has failed to update my credit report as promised. This ongoing inaccuracy negatively affects my ability to access credit and causes unnecessary stress. Attempts to follow up result in little to no assistance, which highlights poor service delivery and lack of accountability. For a credit bureau regulated under the National Credit Act, this level of service is unacceptable.
