Please be cautious when dealing with this company. They falsely advertise their products, and when you request a return, they attempt to charge an unjustified 20% “administration fee.” Their justification is that the SKU is the same, yet the product names and descriptions differ completely. They also list multiple identical items under different model names, which adds to the confusion. I’ve attached images as proof. I fully intend to escalate this matter to Zeropay, the ARB, the CPA, and the NCC, and pursue legal action. If you’ve experienced similar issues with this company, please feel free to contact me directly.
As expected from Rola and Mazda, my concerns were completely ignored. I was contacted by someone from Rola Somerset West claiming authority, yet clearly disconnected from the issue. Instead of addressing what I raised, I was simply asked when I could bring the car in to have the brakes skimmed — with no mention of the actual problem or how we got here. I declined, as I have no confidence in a company that handles issues this poorly. It's been over a week with no follow-up from Rola or Mazda South Africa. Based on this experience, I’d strongly recommend avoiding both brands and taking your business somewhere that actually values its customers.

We purchased our Mazda two years ago along with a service and warranty plan to ensure that the vehicle would be properly maintained and cared for by Mazda themselves. Our first service last year was seamless, and the service provided was excellent. This year, however, as the plan came to an end, our experience was completely different. The vehicle was due for its major service, and we also raised several concerns that we wanted Mazda to inspect. Instead of receiving the same professional service as before, the car was kept for four weeks and returned to us with only the major service completed—none of the other issues had even been addressed. One of my main concerns was the brakes. The car had to go back in, where the brakes were removed. After almost another week and a half of waiting, we were told that a bearing needed to be ordered and that we could use the car in the meantime. When the bearing was finally replaced, we believed the matter was resolved, but unfortunately, the problems worsened. Now, every time we use the brakes, the car makes an unbearable screeching noise, and the braking performance feels unsafe—almost as if the car belongs in the Flintstones. At speeds above 100 km/h, the vehicle shakes violently, creating a serious safety risk for both us and others on the road. We have been waiting months for Mazda to follow up, but nothing has been done. The car has deteriorated to the point where my wife refuses to drive it or even have it near her. I can no longer recommend Mazda—or Rola—since it seems the very vehicles they sell are ones they cannot repair. To make matters worse, I am now forced to spend thousands of rands to fix a vehicle that should have been repaired under the plan, leaving me with an unusable car and ongoing expenses—all due to the incompetence and lack of accountability from Rola and Mazda.
