The calls are back! After being harrassed by multiple phone calls a day for months, I wrote a review on here and was informed within an hour I had been unsubscribed and the calls stopped, much to the joy of my phone's battery life. Well, they are back, stronger than ever. A minimum of 10 spam calls from home choice, every single day. I have never been a client of home choice, nor have I stepped foot into one of their stores, I'd love to know who they buy contact details from but I would like them to LEAVE ME ALONE and STOP PHONING ME, FOR GOOD!!!
I signed up for this as I had been prescribed Ozempic as I was morbidly obese. Given the appetite suppression that comes with Ozempic, I was hoping a dietitian could guide me as to which foods to make sure to eat, to ensure I got the daily vitamins and minerals my body needs. After poking and prodding and repeatedly asking for a tailored meal plan, I was told there is no such thing as an "Ozempic meal plan" and told to eat the meals on the dashboard. Even before Ozempic there was no way I could eat that much food. I also asked for a budget meal plan as I am single and didn't want my food to spoil. I didn't receive any of this. I didn't realise this is a "one-size-fits-all" program, I thought the whole point was to have a coach that would be able to help each person with a personalised meal plan according to my needs and circumstances. I even shared blood test results with my coach so that she knew where I needed to cut down or increase. All I got was a copy and paste program. The coach was lovely, I cannot fault her personally, but I could just as easily have downloaded a meal plan from the internet that didn't cost R295 a month. When signing up for healthy weight, I (perhaps naively) assumed there would be guidance on diet AND exercise, given both these components are equally important when on a weight loss journey. But it is only food focused. I am bitterly disappointed and feel like I flushed R1800 down the toilet. After 3 weeks on the program I realised it was a complete waste of time and didn't engage with it any further, but was forced to pay for the full 6 months.
I decided to wait until everything was done before I left a review, but I have to say, Naked Insurance was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT from start to finish of my claim. From the quick assessment of what was a strange angle accident, to approving it, to letting me know where to drop my car (close to my house), to the rental car which was dropped off and collected at the panel beaters. I cannot fault their process. They did not drop the ball at any point. I am very very impressed!
I have been with Sanlam GAP Cover for 3 years now and their service is beyond, beyoooooond shocking. Every claim has been a fight, they need this document, then that document, then this which I have already sent. And everytime it's 14 business days to get a reply and I have medical service providers hounding me for payment. Even the escalations department don't respond. It's very odd, nobody there seems to know how to reply to an email. I have decided to move my GAP cover elsewhere because I literally cannot cope with their service anymore. And best believe, when I recently submitted a casualty claim, it was rejected in 2 days! Now, I have emailed multiple times to cancel my policy and they just simply don't respond. Whether I am nice, sarcastic, rude, they do not give a hoot. Next stop is a legal demand so I recommend you contact me ASAP and don't write some nonsense reply about "this is not the service we aim to provide", if this is the service you have provided since 2022!!! REPLY TO ME AND CONFIRM THE CANCELLATION OR I WILL BE VISITING YOUR OFFICES!!! *********** doesn't even begin to describe these clowns. Goedkoop is duurkoop - STAY AWAY

If I could give them negative stars, I would. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, USE MWEB. This company is an absolute nightmare. I’ve had every issue imaginable, and I don’t even have the energy to list them all. But God help you if you move house—you’ll be without WiFi for at least three weeks, yet they’ll still happily charge you. Oh, and they’ll randomly cancel your account without your permission, then have the audacity to slap you with an early termination fee. I literally broke down in tears on the phone after waiting 80 minutes on hold, only for the call to cut off—because of course it did. If there were an award for the most ***********, infuriating, garbage-tier customer service on the planet, MWEB would win it effortlessly. STAY FAR, FAR AWAY.
Home Choice has been harassing me non-stop, bombarding my phone with 10 to 20 calls a day like some relentless operation. I block their number, and they just call back with one digit changed, over and over again. This has been happening every single day from 7 AM for TWO MONTHS—absolutely unacceptable! I have never even heard of Home Choice, nor do I care to, but this level of harassment is beyond outrageous. Enough is enough—if this doesn’t stop immediately, I will take action.
The speed of the Dotsure claims process is incredible, less than 24 hours and I have my funds back. Really helps as my 2 cats have been very sick lately (haven't been sick for years) so there were a lot of claims but had no trouble. Highly recommend if you want peace of mind for your fur babies
The waiting time is absolutely ridiculous. Please do not send me the standard reply that "you will look into it", I've already read it on other reviews. When people apply for a payday loan, it's because they need money fairly urgently, or they would just wait for payday. After TEN days of waiting, I withdrew my application. No apology, just okay, we have cancelled it. The people who answer the phone are extremely rude, there is no escalation process. What a joke of a company.
I am, after almost 70 emails (mostly from me because replying is not their strong point), STILL waiting for Sanlam GAP to pay out a claim from 9 June 2023. I don't know what to do anymore. Have I been ****med taking out cover from you?? To those considering Sanlam GAP - STAY AWAY!!!
