I advise others to do their homework on the company that is supplying their goods through Takealot. It appears the vetting of vendors leaves much to be desired, Once one is in the guarantee period the lack of effective assistance and communication by Takealot's Returns Dept. results in long waits, fruitless emails and phonecalls. Also dont get hopeful when you hear your problem is being "escalated".Five escalations later Im still waiting for any decision.
I have been waiting in excess of 2 weeks for a refund or replacement for a Nokia tablet that failed well within warranty. Despite been purchased through Takealot ,who merely send a robotic updates that saying nothing, it appears there is absolutely nothing I can do. A number of calls and emails to Takealot informing them that I depart for the UK within days has produced nothing. I cannot find a phone number to contact this seller. Be warned.
