I ordered a ASUS DSL-N66U dual band N900 router for R2973-00 and collected it on 24 May 2016. I unpacked it, plugged it in...nothing. Not even a peep. Tested AC adapter for correct voltage. Returned it the next day to Loot. Loot.co.za then ordered a replacement which I collected 30 May. It worked for a while. A couple of months later the DSL kept dropping and the speed varying from 0,2 to 3,5 kbps. We blamed TELKOM and troubleshooted with them for a month, never suspecting the router. I then plugged in the R200 telkom router and immediately had stable 3,5kbps download speed. I returned the faulty router on 24 November in the original packaging still with the peel-off plastic attached. Loot sent it to their supplier. The supplier sent it back with no explanation. Channon, that works at returns at Loot then advised me the supplier is refusing a refund as they say the unit is older than 6 months and scratched. Absolute ****. 30 May to 24 November is not 6 months. Regardless, the packaging and pciture as advertised, says 3 year warranty. Bad product, bad company, never buying even a shoe lace from loot.co.za. I have been given the run-around by the returns department. I suspect they made up the story that the router was scratched to avoid paying. This despite Loot.co.za sending me an email after I returned the unit stating that they received all in original packaging and not mentioning ANY scratch before they sent it to the supplier.

I sold my property and transfer took place on 17 June 2014. MC VAN DER BERG ATTORNEYS were appointed and did the transfer. They received their fee on the 30th of June. Since then I have been battling to get them to refund me the funds owed for paying the Tshwane municipality in advance. They keep giving me the run around, saying I can pay extra to have things expedited, and then that the city only issues 3 refund cheques per day, and the 2 months ago that the refund will be issued shortly. Nothing received. So if you ever think of appointing attorneys, USE SOMEONE ELSE!
Telkom has failed to provide the service we pay for. We are on a 4 MBPS ADSL contract. Currently we get 0,2 MBPS intermittently. Thats the same as you paying for an airline ticket from Joburg to Cape Town and then the pilot kicks you out over Vereniging. I advise everine to stay away from TELKOM.
This is my second report on ADT. They are terrible. Yesterday they phoned at 18:26 and advised our alarm is going off. We informed them we are not home, they need to investigate. THREE HOURS later exactly at 21:26 they called to inform us the armed response eventually made it to our house and did his front perimeter inspection.
We have already terminated our contract. Can't wait to give the smaller companies a chance. ADT must be losing customers by the boat-load. If you live in Constantia/Tokai/Bergvliet/Kirstenhof don't expect ADT to show up at your house after your alarm went off. Your house would have been cleaned out after the thieves made themselves a cup of tea and a sandwich. JUST SAY NO TO ADT. Hopefully, they get the message.
Yesterday my alarm went off in Tokai. ADT called me, and I replied that we aren't home they should investigate and provide feedback. We phoned ADT back twice within 20 minutes. The control room advised us that the vehicle still haven't reported back. We decided to drive home. We called again asking for the supervisor and feedback. Again the control room advised us no feedback. 1 Hour and 7 minutes after the alarm went off, an ADT vehicle stopped outside, turned around, and was about to speed off when we stopped the driver and enquired to what is going on. He said all looked fine, and he sped off. A supervisor called us back and said it was due to load-shedding that it took so long. I wasn't aware that ADT used electric vehicles. 1 Hour and 7 minutes with a 5 second inspection is UNACCEPTABLE. My house could have been cleaned out. My family could have been lying in the lounge bleeding. And the ADT armed response guard looked over the wall and \All seemed fine"I hope more people ditch ADT and go with more reliable smaller companies."""
