I bought something for R2,000 in August 2023 and that piece of hardware failed after 5 months. It's under warranty, so I took it back to the store. I was told that the same item now costs R2,699 (!!!) and so they cannot replace the broken one unless I pay the difference. If I don't like that arrangement, I can have a refund of the R2,000. Now, I don't want a refund. I bought the item for a reason, I still need it and I've already been inconvenienced because it broke. I also certainly don't want to pay more for the same thing just 5 months later. I told them that I don't like their offers and that I would like to insist on a replacement. They stubbornly refused. How is any of this my problem? I didn't break the device, I didn't raise the price of the item by 35%. I have a legitimate warranty claim. If Incredible Connection so desparately needs to recover it's inflationary R699, they should take it up with their supplier who delivered inferior goods. Incredible Connection uses ridiculous price hikes so that they don't have to honour warranties. It is dirty and it smells.
Order placed on 10 February and received on 7 April. This is over 40 working days, not the 14-18 advertised. I was not kept informed and had to constantly request updates. In addition to the delay, only half the items were received. I requested a refund for the undelievered items. I was told this is not their policy and I can order something else. I do not want anything else that they offer (especially not with such poor service), I want a refund so that I can buy the desired item elsewhere. As per the Consumer Protection Act it is my right to choose a refund and they refuse to honour this. They are spending their time fighting with me about this rather than just simply issuing the refund. From this experience and the other reviews here, I can only conclude that there is something very dodgy about this company and I would recommend that other buyers beware.
I had a similar experience to other reviews here. Order took months to fulfil and then only half the items arrived. When requesting a refund for the missing items they claim their T&Cs state no refunds. They are scamming thieves.
So my internet via Afrihost just stops working, probably because Hellkom decided that I didn't need it anymore. But my ADSL line if fully managed by Afrihost. So I log a fault them with. A day later I'm asked to try to reboot my modem. A day after that they escalate to Hellkom. Now I sit with nothing, 4 days later and all I get from the Afrihost keyboard jockeys is \We have escalated to Telkom". No shit. I can do that too. No mention of why"
