I keep getting emails from these folks with regard to non-payment of a TV licence. I gave repeatedly mailed them to say that the account in question was my mother's - she passed away a year ago and did not have a television for several years before that. Asili are paying no attention to my emails and send me the same mail every month-end.
We were very happy with Jenny Internet for the first 2.5years here in the Platteland. But the past couple of months have been pathetic ... lots of outages with one lasting for 8 days this month: all sorts of excuses from "it's been overcast so the solar battery can't charge" to "the road to the tower is too slippery to get up for repairs". Supposedly that issue was fixed last weekend, but now it's been off again for 60 hours ... "a sector" is faulty "and our technicians are fixing it". Well those techs must be on a very long tea break. All this has cost the town's residents a fortune in data. At over R700 p.m. expect far better.
We've waited 4 months to get a Tracker installed in a second-hand bakkie. We live in a rural area and our nearest installment centre is over 3 hours' drive away - so we've been promised numerous times the installer will come to us. And that's where it stays - appointments are made but nobody arrives, phone calls result in promises by Discovery and the installer, and nothing happens. Fed up!!
