My mother has had the worst experience with Ooba insurance. She put in her first claim for a burst geyser. After an already longer than expected time someone came out to replace the geyser. They needed to open up her ceiling to access it and a builder came out to measure etc to submit a quote to fix the hole their plumber made. Its now been more than a week of my mom living with a massive hole right above her kitchen counter. Dust and bugs are just falling out of her ceiling every few minutes depending on how strong the wind blows. We call every day and can either not get through at all or are told that the claim is still being reviewed. A week ago a consultant promised to escalate the query regarding when the ceiling will be repaired, today an exact week later the claim is still under review. So absolutely no progress in a week and my mom just has to live like this. Her payments are on time monthly, but now that she needs a service its near impossible to get any sort of feedback.
This school's support is atrocious. I requested a transfer letter in November. I was advised that it would be issued with my daughter's report. It was not. I followed up and then was passed over to support by accounts. Support did not respond. Then today I received a mail saying that admin staff are on leave until 10th Jan although my request was sent weeks before. None of the telephone numbers are being answered. They are extremely fast on enrollments but thereafter it's like dealing with a ghost.
Teneo and I have had a good relationship all year. Now however, when the payment that was due 28 Nov 2021 was not yet paid by 6 December, they've blocked my daughter's profile. She can not check her exam results and log any possible queries before the reports are finalised. They know that this is required, but for this one payment will hinder my daughter's last results. The woman in accounts has not done any follow ups on the 1 payment that they are owed, but then just sent a FINAL NOTICE and then blocked our profile. This all within 5 working days. So our good payment record for the whole year is not even taken into consideration. I work with people and their accounts and this is unbelievable especially where the consequences are that my daughter's results can now not be reviewed and queried.
Jon from Free Alarms was quick to sign us up for a 3year contract. But now that it's ended and I notified them to stop the debit orders he is unable to respond to any of my emails. Months of unauthorised debit orders and they just ignore me completely.
During the past two weeks three debit orders went off my account from Chubb. I'm meant to pay R 450 per month, but one debit order of R 900 went off, then one of R 560 then another of R 450. I called to ask for a statement but was told that because I'm on a debit order my statement will automatically show a zero. I said that its not a reason to not be able to send me a statement. That random amounts can not just be taken without notifying me as I did not factor these amounts into my budget. The consultant was not in any way helpful, she said she'll send it. I then had to ask her if she had my email address to send it to... she only then took it and said she would send it shortly. I have yet to receive it. <br> I have on a previous occasion requested (via their website) that monthly statements/invoices be sent to me via email, to which I still have not received a response.
