FNB private bankers are terrible. You are better off on a gold card and going into a branch yourself. It's taken almost 2 months to cancel a homeloan that is within a structured loan and my banker has never been able to give me a timeline as to the turn around time to get this done. This, after my initial banker said it would take 3 weeks. Secondly they offered me prime+ for the remaining property! How ridiculous is that. And when I complained to my banker she didn't even have the courtesy to respoind to my mail!
For the past few years FNB has been targeting me due to the fact that I have a foreign name. They always threaten to close my account and when I investigated, they do that to people that they believe are laundering money and yet all my income comes through this bank. Never once have they reached out to find out why there are changes in my spend/income patterns. When I complained, no one could give me a reasonable explanation. It seems been a citizen in SA doesn't mean anything. Everyday int he news you hear of people using their accounts ********ly and yet the banks always miss those ones and want to harass me, year in, year out!
I made a purchase in Dec'24. They canceled some of the orders due to out of stock. Now I'm chasing Makro online and finance to refund my money and nothing is being done. That's dishonest. To keep a customers money for almost 2 months with no progress on payment. The call centre agents are like robots. All they can do is "escalate". You are the worst online store in SA. You did the same thing to me in 2023 and I let that money go since I paid for it in follow up phone calls
The worst i've dealt with. I thought Web Africa had problems until I stumbled on Cool Ideas. Its been a week and i'm still getting the run around between Cool Ideas and Vumatel. No internet. I have to buy data everyday
Web Africa, Keenan Benjamin and several other agents have been giving me the run around for 2 weeks. I wanted to cancel my subscription because I'm paying for 5G services that I'm not receiving. Upon investigation it turns out I need a new router but they can't bring themselves to deliver it or fulfill this task. Instead I keep being sent from pillar to post with constant reviews.
For the past 3 years out of nowhere FNB keeps asking me to verify where I get my income from and yet my salary goes through my account each month and they see it. Now they have blocked my account from any transactions because I didn't see their request. How on earth can I not access my own hard earned money? How is that possible? What an inconvenience!!!

Arno has refused to engage with me and provide me with a statement of what is owed and yet he has blacklisted me. He has refused to also pay back the deposit or to use it as part payment for whatever is owed. I'm being mistreated and ignored because of the colour of my skin. You should be ashamed
<p>I had a flight to Durban today at 6:55am. I got to the check in counter at 6:10am only for the guy to tell me that the flight was closed. I pleaded with him to let me on as I had no bags to check in and he just said no. He was completely disinterested in helping me. He was only concerned with me buying another ticket. How many times have I sat on an SAA flight only to be held waiting for a passenger. He could have checked me in but his lazy, nonchalant attitude was not bothered and was more interested in inconveniencing me. Once again I'm dissapointed by their service and care for people as human beings. </p>
