I had an issue with the Holiday Club where my confirmed booking was cancelled for whatever reason, after approaching them and raising my concerns and disappointments, I must admit that they went the extra mile to correct the issue.
I made an Online Booking on Wednesday 12 February for vacation at Strand Pavillion in CT to celebrate my Granddaughters Birthday, it was a booking for 8 people. The booking went smoothly and I received my confirmation letter within a few minutes, I contacted the rest of the family and gave them good news & we started planning. The next day I got an Email from the Holiday Club to inform me that my booking was cancelled because the resort released it for maintenance usage and was not available to the Holiday club. That is not my problem, they have caused us Financial and emotional trauma of which I intend taking it up legally. We pay exorbitant levies each month besides having bought points, it is always so difficult to get bookings and the one time I do ends up in heartbreak. I almost bought a further 10 points to get to the next tier. I would not encourage anyone to buy Holiday Club Shares!!!
I had my contract upgrade at the Chatz Cellular at Randridge Mall and asked the consultant to cancel my 3G contract, she instead renewed my 3G contract which was on a month to month contract for many years. I asked the consultant for a copy of the contract, she told me the printer is busy and I can come back after going to PNP, when I went back she said she would Email it to me, which never happened. When I received my bill, I went back to them all this after having a hip replacement. I asked for the contract, they could not produce a full contract but produced part of the contract. My husband clearly remembered paying R150 for the one upgrade, but they insisted he payed for 2 upgrades, when asked for a receipts they produced copies of 2 cash receipts for R150 and not one, for R300 also taking into account that those receipts does prove that my husband payed for them. We asked the Manager for CCTV footage, which he told us he would check and provide, has not happened to date. They now expect me to pay for the 3G that I am not using and an alternate number that I also canceled via the customer care centre and at Chatz Cellular. I am seriously considering migrating to another network but giving Vodacom a chance to respond seeing that I have been with them for almost 20 years. Guys please be very careful at Chatz cellular when doing any contracts and make sure you get copies of your contracts before you leave.
the Holiday Club is becoming more like a scam, I have tried booking online and phoning the reservations department all they say is there is no availability. They send out this beautiful looking magazine with fantastic resorts, but are always unavailable, or they tell you the resort only releases the accommodation 2 weeks before the date you looking for and that they cannot GAURANTEE that this will happen. One buys these points shares so that we can look forward to some relaxing time but instead it becomes a total frustration trying to book an holiday. it is better saving the money we pay every month as levies for upgrade and upkeep of resorts which are unavailable, and use that money and pay cash for a holiday that we know we will have.
I bought Groupon Vouchers for Heavens Spa. After Trying many Spa's I must compliment the staff at Heavens Spa for the excellent treatment we received, I have been to other so called five star spa's and it was nothing compared to the treatments I received at Heavens Spa, the massages left us feeling totally relaxed and the extras we added on was extremely reasonable so are their retail products. Keep up the good work guys, will carry on making my monthly booking.
