I am now going into my 6th week after I submitted a claim to Discovery. They assured me I was covered for travelling abroad. They insist on a breakdown of my fee for £250, although I have sent them 3 e mails from the London Dental Clinic that they do not give breakdowns, they only charged me a standard emergency fee of £250. They answer me with the same word over and over and I am now ashamed even mention to this London Dental Clinic about my Health service. Do not ever, ever believe Discovery that you are covered by Discovery for overseas travel. it is the worst experience of my life dealing with them and I am now close to a breakdown because of their bad service.
It is a month since I sent my claim in to Discovery for International cover. Honestly, never ever rely on them for an International claim. Rather buy travel Insurance. Discovery is not interested in service or their good name. People phone you to offer assistance and then it is the same old story- the people that muat pay the claim has just vanished!
Before I left on an overseas trip, I was assured by Discovery that I was covered for emergencies abroad. I developed a terrible toothache and had to go and see a dentist. He charged a basic emergency fee of £250 which includes an x ray, relieve the pain and give anti biotics till I can see my own dentist. It is now 3 weeks and I hear nothing from Discoery although all info was sent immediately. The dentist shortened the crown to relieve the bite, Not a new crown or nothing, I send the statement, explanation what they did, xray from the dentist and proof of payment. How can they advertise thatClassic Priority is medically covered and then they do not pay? It happenend on 25/09/24 and I need those funds now!
I totally agree with the customer complaining about the Capetown stylist group. They do not reply. They send an incorrect order, then they expect you to pay for shipping it back to China!! Then, China gives no address, no reference at all!! Do NOT order from them!!! You will be dissapointed and they give no number or address in South Africa. The websit pretends the goods are within South Africa!!
They advertise on Facebook as Cape Stylist. i bought shoes from them for R1295. I waitd lomg, then it seems the shoes came from China. They sent the wrong colour, brown, I ordered black and a size 6.5. They sent a size 39. i can do nothing with the shoes. You wait and wait for a response. Now they want me to return the shoes to Cina at my own cost. it was not my mistake and I received the shoes in a plastic bag with no address or number. they claim to have a shop in the V& A waterfront, no further address, no phone. They just ask to contact them at info@capestylist.com, altough they gave their address when your order as .co.za, pretending they are from Cape Town. So now I must return their inocrrect order at my own cost to China woth no contact? i think it is a **** and I wish I can contact the shop and talk to someone. Please assist?
I have changed my account at the 4th ABSA to receive a Dragon Pass- one could not do it, another let you wait and wait,so at ABSA OR Tambo they promised me it was done. It is today 14 says since then and I still could not manage to get my Dragon Pass. I fly in 48 hours. ABSA can now take their Dragon pass to wherever they want. You cannot complain about the service, because there IS NO SERVICE!!! Do not advertise things that nobody is interested in assisting you!!

I was rhe owner of a white 2013 Mercedes with 42 000 on the clock. It used to just loose power and stop in the middle of the traffic. It was in the workshop 5 times. 3 times near my home, with no success and twice in Pretoria.

in 2015 the workshop promised me it was now fixed Less than a year later, same problem. It stopped in the middle of an intersection, with the message " inoperative, see owner's manual" the owner's manual says see you dealer immediately, which I did.

MBSA was more than uselss. They passed it on the the dealer. Germany passed it on to MBSA. I even send photos of the message to them all. They could not find the problem.

I could not sell the car myself, because the new owner could make a fatal accident in passing someone or on the highway if this car just stops. The dealer also did not want to give me a letter that the car was fixed, because they did not know the cause of the problem.

They offered me two other Mercedes cars, but I had to pay R127 000 for both cars who did not have the same specifications. I said I did not plan to buy another car after3 years, but I now forced to. Because the car is still under guarantee, why must I pay if they cannot fix it. The motorplan was still valid as well.

They gave me R270 000 for my car and said my car will be used by their drivers. They refused to pay more, whoch I felt was unfair, because it is a factory default they could not fix. Then they send me an ad where they advertise my car with the default, for R50 000 more! In other words, they loose nothing, but sell a car of which they cannot find the problem to someone else with this default.

They would not pay me more or give me a new Mercedes cheaper and I could not sell the car in case someome makes an accident with the car, so I loose all the way. And it is not my fault!!

My biggest fear is that someone is going to buy this car, makes an accident in traffic because of the default and cause other people's death. Yet they make a profit of R50 000 and refused to pay me more.

The case manager at Head Ofiice did nothing to assist. It youasked him why he does not come back to you, he just said " he was busy". I even spoke to the dealer's manager about the problem and after 2 mails, he does not even answer me.

So buyers please be aware, Do NOT buy a 2013 white Mercedes from a dealer advertised for R319 000! You can make a serious accident with that car. I have photos to prove the message on the dashboard when the car just stops and by the grace of God I could avoid a serious accident every time.
