A lovely little coffee shop in Seaside Village, Bloubergstrand The staff are very good. They’re polite, respectful and prompt. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. Wifi available should you wish to work from the venue.

I cancelled my car insurance with discovery insure on 23 March 2022 via email followed by a bot chat on the same date where I was assured it was cancelled. They have now deducted a premium for April. This now puts me in financial difficulties as the new insurance will be affected by this illegal debit.

I tried to make a purchase from Mr Price on 4/2/21 but payment was rejected by their portal but my FNB card still shows a reserve of R294.98 even though I cancelled the order. This amount has not been reversed by MrPrice I made an attempt on 8/2/21 and once again their portal rejected my payment of R174.98. My bank account shows the amount as reserved for the purchase and it too has not been reversed by them either There are now two amounts reserved by MrPrice with no purchase and my account profile shows no purchases made. This is unacceptable practice. I have emailed MrPrice on 3 occasions but they have not had the decency to respond. In my eyes this is blatant theft.
This is a follow on to the complaint I made on 26 June regarding the faulty sensor Discovery insure responded on 26 June and the problem seemed sorted. It lasted all of 48 hours and I’m back to square one with a sensor that doesn’t not record trips nor the location of the car. Once again I have sent another 3 emails to ThamiM5@discovery.co.za as well as insuremaintenance@discovery.co.za I received a response saying that they had received my email and it would be handled. The reference number from Discovery is: 7219710986 It really is a shame that something like this could damage a good company’s reputation.
Part of your motor insurance with Discovery Insure is the demand to fit a sensor to your vehicle. I have 2 cars on the policy. My one car’s sensor is operating well. However the other car’s sensor has been faulty since 9 June. It’s been changed but still didn’t operate. I’ve written to insuremaintenance@discovery.co.za on four occasions. The first response said they had reset it manually from their side, but nothing changed on my side. The sensor still didn’t work. Two of the emails had responses explaining how to correct the problem from my side. I followed the instructions and even photographed each phase as it was done. Still the sensor didn’t work. The fourth email they have not responded to. I’m very disappointed as I think they’re a good company however there is a lack of knowledge or follow through with the sensors. Please advise
I did a bank transfer on Sunday night to Eskom and have not received a token number for prepaid power. . I received notification from my bank that the money had been transferred. I have a proof of payment as welL I have tried unsuccessfully for 20 minutes to call. Ended up leaving a voice mail with an urgent request I have also sent 2 emails, as well as an sms to 35328. I’ve left a message on Facebook messenger as well as a complaint in Twitter. Nothing has been done. No voucher has been sent nor any response to my correspondence. Disgusting business.
A good and reliable car wash. They do a very good job. Always happy with my car when I pick it up.
