MAKRO ONLINE. Ordered two home decor stickers Product ID: 00108 for a project I need to finish at R95.00 each. Paid R190 plus R50 Delivery Fee (R240). However, the delivery contained one Product ID: 00107 and one Product ID: 010058, therefore totally different and incorrect items were delivered. A complaint was logged with photo as proof of incorrect items delivered. The complaint was assessed and I was notified they will be in contact with me soon to arrange for a courier to collect. I also received an email confirming a refund will be done. ("I’m pleased to inform you that your return request for a refund has been successfully approved. The refunded amount will be processed through the same payment method used for the initial transaction.") I also received an email to rate the online purchase, however, it states I purchased ONE item only. I am still waiting for my R240.00 refund in respect of the TWO items purchased. I am not impressed at all and will never make any purchases via Makro Online again.
Scammers alert! Ordered and paid, got email confirmation, then again another email about some delivery issues they are having, thereafter nothing. No further communication or response to queries made. Stole my money!
Fantastic service! They go that extra mile to assist with the utmost professional and friendly service from start to finish. Timeous arrival and all done quickly. Thank you.
Excellent service from start of obtaining an online quote to final delivery. Highly recommended whether long distance between provinces or less than 1km. Used them 6 times for long and short distance moving. Thank you team!
Black Friday morning, 29 Nov 2019, at 07h15 I logged onto the MTN website and selected the My MTNChoice 80GB Sim card only deal for R299-00. I received an SMS confirming my MTN online application has been submitted and one of the call center agents will contact me soon. Shortly thereafter I received an email from shop@mtn also confirming my application and providing a reference number. Later the same day I received a call from an agent, Hector, who then told me I applied for an Apple phone! After talking for a while he noted that the ID number displayed on his system indicated differently than what I confirmed mine to be. He then apologized for the glitz in their system and said another agent will call me regarding my application. On Tuesday afternoon, 3 December 2019, the same agent, Hector, phoned me again and went through the sales pitch, obtaining the required details from me, etc. I was told what documents I will have to take to an MTN branch to make the application official and what documents I will have to provide to the courier upon delivery. At the end of the conversation he said he will forward me all the details we discussed and agreed upon. Absolutely no confirmation was received to date. I tried phoning but I kept on getting the option to supply my MTN phone number. I am not an MTN customer yet and therefore do not have an MTN phone number to supply! I am a new customer trying to obtain a data package! I sent two emails requesting for assistance and an update of what is happening with my application but have not received any response to date. After trying numerous times I decided to go to an MTN branch in our mall, taking with me copies of all the required documentation. This was on Thursday, 5 December 2019. Once at the MTN branch the assistant told me as it was an online application they can not assist me. I was then provided with a phone number regarding online applications. I left the MTN branch and sat down in the aisle from where I phoned the number given to me. I was transferred from one section to another, from new contracts to renew, to who knows where. I was told to phone another number and was given exactly the same number I phoned, the lady then told me to go to an MTN branch so they can assist me. Very frustrated I said I am outside the MTN in the mall and they gave me the number I just phoned. She then asked to speak to one of the MTN staff. I went in and handed my phone to the staff member who then took it to their manager. Returning a while later the staff member handed me my phone back and proceeded to try and phone the number I was given nl. 083 123 3667. Another staff member then also tried to assist and spoke to someone at the above number. I was then told that I did not order via MTN but through another party nl Rewards Co. The MTN staff member then checked something on his system and confirmed that my ID appears to be registered with this 3rd party company. I was then given a number 031 533 3000 to contact. Upon arriving home I yet again tried numerous times to phone this new number but it rang, played a bit of music and then the call was dropped... over and over and over! By then I again checked the email I received on Black Friday and it came from shop@mtn.co.za ! I again checked the SMS I received and it definitely refers to my MTN online application. Currently the status of my MTN application regarding a Black Friday deal and as a new prospective client is anyone's guess. If I am not contacted and this issue is not resolved as soon as possible I will have no other option but to report the matter for further investigation. I believe that all online deals applied for on Black Friday with confirmation received of the application must be honoured according to the special advertised.
I went to Pick 'n Pay, Sunningdale this morning to purchase a few items. Taking with me a canvas bag and one plastic bag (for the planned icecream I wanted to buy). At the cashier I produced my canvas bag which the cashier took, she shook out the plastic bag that was inside and started packing my items in the canvas bag. I noticed that she placed the icecream inside the canvas bag without using the provided plastic bag. She then wanted to place the only item still left on top of the icecream, the fresh bread!!! I took the icecream out and used the plastic bag still lying unused on the paypoint counter and handed it to the cashier. The cashier then looked at me and told me that I am a customer who doesn't know how to pack....! This is not only infuriating but also extremely rude and such comments should not be tolerated towards a customer. As I am a pensioner who worked in retail as an HR Manager for many years and trained thousands of cashiers, packers, etc I am not impressed at all at the attitude displayed nor impressed with the ignorance of the Pick 'n Pay employee regarding rules applicable to packing consumer goods.
