Ordered food through the drive thru (24-07-2022) 2 x box meals and 1 sprinkle pops, added additional R2 for 2 normal cokes instead of the sugar free version (R4.00 total). Checked the sprinkle pops when the meal was given to us as we have had issues previously with it being cold and hard, was cold again asked the lady (Palesa) if i can have a fresh one as it was cold, she said its fresh, i asked her to please feel it as it was cold, requested we park while they make us a new one, while parked my wife and i started to eat our food, the burger was ice cold and hard, chicken, wings and chips were fresh, drank some coke was coke zero, can be an honest mistake, drove back through the drive thru, asked the lady (Palesa) to please check the drink and give us a normal coke, said it was coke abruptly, told her to please check it, called a colleague to check it, they gave us another and still tasted like coke zero, requested a coke again, said they might have put the wrong syrup on the coke line (Again can be an honest mistake) by this point there were 3 ladies there stating its coke and arguing, no manager in site at this point, offered us another drink, i.e fanta/sprite, said no we want coke, said she cant help me, asked her to refund my drink cost, she offered to refund my R4.00 but no drink in return, i asked she call the manager as it seemed she could not understand what i was asking, Manager came (Adam), he tasted the drinks and said its coke as well, (i've worked in the food industry for over 10 years, waiter to manger and have dined at many restaurants that serve the coke soda stream, definitely not coke what was being served, unless its a cheaper knock off being passed as coke), by this time Palesa was shouting at my wife telling her it is coke, not once did Adam calm her down or asked her to stop, eventually he offered to give us a budy coke as a replacement, it seems that the staff at KFC think if they shout or try intimidate you they can bully you into taking what they offer irrespective of the quality being served, (Especially as KFC have spent alot of money stating that they will replace your meal if you are not happy with the quality) I told Adam that he as a manager should manage his team correctly, in no way should me my wife be shouted at as a paying customer, being a manager myself, if my staff treated a client like that in front of me i would have fired them then and there. Only after i complained to Adam he asked me to park to see what he could do to assist and help me, was too late, should never have gotten to a point of escalation before something is done about a situation Chris 076 180 4752
Went to Calistos in Monte Casino on Saturday with my family, we ordered 2 x pita specials and a kiddies strips. Only received 1 pita and an order of chicken stripes and rice, which we did not order, Pita was ice cold, went back as we sat in front of the restaurant. Told the cashier (Noma) the one order was incorrect and that the one pita was cold, asked if she could warm it up for me. She looked and me took the wrong order and ventured to the back, disappeared for about 5 min and came back, said they will make another pita for the wrong order, i asked about the cold one if she cold maybe heat it in the microwave, she said she cant heat it or help me, "Nothing i can do" The kiddies stripes were so small and spicy not ideal for a 4 year old, we ended buying some pops at KFC instead. I asked her if she could bring the food to my table when it was ready.... She sent a waitress/helper to bring the food to me. I had asked whom the supervisor on shift was and was told it was Masito. Not once did anyone apologies or even come and ask if the food was ok. literally dump and run. To top it all off when we ate our pita's they had some salad in them, which is the norm but seemed the lettuce and tomatoes where laying in water and was purely picked out the container and pushed into the pita, no draining what so ever. TBH - one of the worse meals i have had in a very long time, truly disappointing. Bad service and bad quality. Safe to say i will not be visiting them anytime soon. I strongly recommend trying some of the other restaurants before attempting a meal from Calistos. I suggest Tsogo Sun investigate the quality of this restaurant, especially due to the service and care Tsogo Sun offer their patrons
Due to the Coronavirus, many fellow South Africans received a pay cut or less hours at work. Many companies like Edgars, Woolworths and some banks but to name a few have offered a payment relief program due to the current economic crisis. When the lockdown began, many companies opted to send out emails or sms's to offer their clients the option of payment relief. Truworths did not offer this nor did they try get in touch with its customers in any way, its understandable that the call centers were closed, sms service is automated and does not require 10 or 20 people to push one button. I even sent numerous amounts of emails with no reply, you would think that Truworths would at least offer some sort of customer service during the lockdown but nothing, at least its competitors tried and did something, which was really appreciated. I have had numerous calls and sms's from Truworths during stage 4 requesting to pay my account, i arranged to pay an amount which was about 30% of what my actual installment was, i opted to pay for this as my salary was cut by 66%. I spoke with a consultant last week Thursday (04-06-2020) regarding the payment of my account once again and an arrangement was made. (Please check your call records to confirm this) I also asked the consultant to make a note to stop phoning me as they where calling me numerous amounts of times a day, this to me is harassment. (Please see "Protection from Harassment Act 17 of 2011") Today i received an sms from Truworths stating they have handed my account over to "Blake & Associates" for non payment, even though i paid my account on the 01-06-2020 and made arrangements to pay the same amount for the next three months or until work/salaries go back to normal. I tried getting hold of Truworths to speak to a team leader/supervisor this morning, i spoke with 4 different consultants that either put me on hold or transfered me, the ones that transfered me the phone ran ran and eventually the call was cut off, the others kept me on hold for a good 7 minutes with no answer. When calling from a cell phone this becomes very expensive. Eventually, i spoke with a consultant as this was the only way of getting some sort of clarity. The consultant confirmed on the phone that there was an arrangement made on the 04-06-2020 and the amount that i paid on the 01-06-2020 was received. I even received an SMS on the 06-06-2020 saying thank you for your payment and payment of a certain amount was still required to prevent further arrears. (Please check your call recordings to confirm this) When i asked why i had received an SMS stating that i was handed over, she checked the system and said that, that was incorrect and that my account was still with Truworths and was NOT handed over. So Truworths has resorted to THREATENING its customer by sending messaged like this, it states and i quote "Your TRUWORTHS account has been handed over to Blake & Associates due to non payment. Call 0861101849 NOW to make arrangements to pay" This can be put down to "Defamation of Character" which allows me to apply for a civil lawsuit against Truworths as you are looking at slandering my personal name and cause me emotional distress. So it seems like Truworths is threatening me to pay more or forcing me to settle my account even though this was arranged a week prior to this. Seems like the communication at Truworths is not getting to the correct departments, again i find this very hard to believe as the consultant i spoke with last can pick up exactly who called me what was arranged and when this was done. Its amazing how you can be a loyal customer for years, pays more than his installment is due on numerous occasions always up to date and when the time comes for a pandemic, they quick to through you to the wolves. Just shows the true value I as a customer have to Truworths and what Truworths' stance is on the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully someone from Truworths will bother phoning me, i await patiently. 0761804752
