Being a new member of PPR I had some serious concerns regarding my account and the amount owed. Lucky for me I was assisted by Remano Naicker who immediately understood my concerns and expertly and efficiently helped me navigate the process of setting up my debit order listing all the options. He also manage to explain to me what the various amounts was for and even went beyond by offering to follow up with my previous holiday club on annual renewal fees paid for the same year.
I was worried that our cover would not be enough to replace items damage by the severe storms we experienced recently. The patio set was quite expensive and I have heard stories of . insurance companies quibbling and hassling customer when they submit a claim. Always attempting to argue that due to the age or damage these item cannot be replaced but they are willing to provide some payout which is far less than the replacement value. Well this was not the case. The assessor cam out and within 30 minutes the damages was assessed and within the same week I received the full payout to the value of the new replacement. This also enabled me to shop around to find the best deals on the particular item. What a wonderful experience. Fast and efficient with no quibble. That is why I will always recommend OUTsurance if asked which short term insurance one should have.
It's been almost a month since we had hail damage to our property. We can understand that we are not the only ones affected, but ever since the claim was submitted to ABSA...it seems that if less to nothing was done. Last week Friday the building contractor came to light after promising for a week and a half that they will phone us. The ABSA assessor came out took pictures of all the damages. Once the building contractor came out not all repairs of damages was recorded on the job card. Again phone call after phone call trying to get hold of the assessor with no success, I phoned ABSA insurance according to them not all information regarding damages to our property was submitted to ABSA insurance for approval by the assessor. Is it really my job to communicate between the assessor and ABSA insurance? I don't think so!!!! This has been a tedious and painful journey!!!. We all know that everybody is closing down for the festive season and it seems that ABSA is dragging their feet. On Saturday we went to choose carpets...the carpet people wants to now when the Building contractors will be done...and that is a mystery to us all. I am sick and tired of this shit!!!
Received a call from the sales department today offering me an option to get out of my life time membership contract. Best news is that it will only cost me an additional +- 29000 Rand. Basically I will get the same exact benefits (Which is crap in any case) that I have now but will also get an additional 3000 points that I will obviously have to pay for but will now actually be able to afford a holiday anywhere at anytime. This is the same people that said, when I bough the crap in the first place, that I am ensuring that I can take a holiday anytime in the future. I DO NOT WANT YOUR CRAP. YOU ARE SCAM ARTIST THAT PRAY ON PEOPLE. You sold me a dream of a lifetime holiday and that has future value yet you recently said I can sell my contract for 1000 Rand. This is about 1% of the original sales price. PLEASE ALL BEWARE THE SALES PITCH OF THE TIMESHARE INDUSTRY!!!!
