They refuse to close my account. They merely say they will deactivate the account. Meaning all my details remain on their website/servers. They quote irreverent sections of the credit act to forcefully keep my account open but "deactivated" indefinitely. Good luck closing your account.

So out of nowhere I get this message from Standard Bank: Your accounts are no longer FICA compliant. Please bring ID & proof of residence to any branch to reactivate your accounts. Queries? ********** 422. No warning in advance now Im in Witbank for work with no access to my accounts. I've been with SB since I started working but enough is enough Im really fed up now. Thank you Standard Bank for your great service.
