This used to be the place to go. Unfortunately, with a new generation of owner management this business is doomed to fail. Our Speedqueen washing machine stopped working. It clearly had something loose inside by the sound and chunks of plastic were shearing off somewhere and coming out in the drum during the cycle. JD Nel came to fetch the machine for repairs. After several days of having to follow up for a quote (no communication from them) we were informed that 1. They put a load of washing on and everything was fine and 2. They had replaced the broken knob on the machine at a cost of R1500+ without our permission. When we said there is no way we’re paying to replace a knob on a broken machine that they are not repairing, we were then informed that they want R500 for a ‘collection fee’. To be clear, at no point was this fee discussed prior to collection. Not only that but I am happy to pay a fee if it turns out there really is nothing wrong. However, they admitted to not even opening the machine and this was proven once we opening it. It was easy to diagnose the problem ourselves but less easy to find parts and repair it. On top of all this we have been without a washing machine for most of 2 weeks. The cherry on top was when we demanded our property back and we’re told it would be returned at 11am only for them not to bother with that agreement either, wasting more of my time. Avoid these people at all costs.
Excellent service, always sorts out issues and the quality is truly excellent. They surpass the basic service requirements to keep customers happy.
The most atrocious admin and management of any experience I have ever had. They have no clue how to provide customer service, take bookings, communicate, or handle issues (that arise because they can't manage their business). This company, sadly, will not last and is basically there to take in as much money from the public in the short term without regard to the economics of the area, the social issues arising from their commitment to their staff and what will be left behind in it's place when it fails.
Why can't we give zero and negative stars? These people have no regard for POPI laws, privacy or basic moral decency. I hope their company implodes.
It is sad to see a company grow so big that they just do not care about customers. You get put off, have the phone put down and encounter only incredible difficulty. Our internet connection has not worked for weeks but no one cares enough to rectify it. They would rather just pass the buck to Vumatel (who we have zero relationship with and do not pay for the service).
For some random reason these people actually fulfilled my order 2 months after the fact. They have still never actually responded to an email or answered their phone but the package just arrived one day. However, one of the items, comprising more than 25% of the order value is incorrect and unusable. They will apparently never answer their email or phone so I may never get this item replaced, not to mention the cost of shipping and receiving this stuff long after I needed it. They have no clue how to run a business or how to serve customers. And it is such a pity because it was great to find a chemical supply company with online ordering and smaller quantities. Now I can never trust them again.
I fell for the ****, paid for an order and I am now being ignored. I will open a case of ***** tomorrow but be warned, DO NOT pay them money online.
I cannot get rid of Voice Mail Lite. Despite numerous attempts including attempted research on MTN's website (forget ever getting anything useful on that godawful site) and calling the help center (no one can help), MTN continues to insist on a service I never asked for and have never activated. AND then has the audacity to inform me that I am on standard voice mail when attempting to change settings. I am not surprised considering the huge amount of effort to get anything done with MTN, pretty much ever. But I am frustrated, as usual. Just make your systems work!
