I laid a 3rd party claim against Discovery Insure on 31 May 2015 that is 33 days ago and the efficiency of the staff is non existent. I have called in several times with no help, the phones just ring and ring and rings. They are too laid back and there is no sense of urgency or customer service. They never call back or respond to emails even when i send and send and send emails asking them to please respond to my emails but still no answer. I mean it is only common courtesy to replay on emails . I live in Krugersdorp and work in Randburg and need my transport replaced yesterday!!! Claim#914188 [Email Removed]
I have been a loyal customer of Virgin Insurance from 2013-05-01 that is more than 2 years of paying insurance premiums. I have my house, car and motor bike insured with them.In the month of May 2015 I could not pay my premiums since we had to move from Randburg to Krugersdorp. As you can imagine the moving cost, deposits on the new house and deposits for the kid's school made it very difficult to pay the preemie for the month of May.The premiums for the month of June 2015 was paid again.Unfortunately I was involved in an accident on 31 May at 8Pm.Virgin insurance now refused to pay out my claim sins they say I did not have cover for the month of May.I do understand their side of the story I am the one who did not make the payment for May.I still however feel that as a long term costumer and the fact that the payment for June was received that they should make an effort to help me out and understand the circumstance why I could not pay for the month of May.The accident happened at 8pm at night. That means that 4 hours later I did have coverage again. So I could have been dishonest and lied by saying the accident happened after 12pm when I knew that I would have cover. But i did not
