I bought a R3000 Digimark inverter in Jan 2023. Very pleased. Good & easy working untill Aug 2023, when it start continuous beeping. I could not find the address for Digimark . When I contact SIK, they were not even prepared to look at the inverter. They refer me to an electronic shop to visit - no address or telephone nr. I could not trace the shop. One should not buy electronic stuff from SIK. Otherwise it is a good place to look & shop.
On Aug 6, I searched for a cheap leg excerciser & found the Easy-Exerciser at Snatcher. I ordered & paid by Credit Card & forwarded it to my children. They picked up the bad spelling in the reply conversation - mentioning a delay in despatch. "Your order amount not matach with order amount..." When I checked hellopeter, I found more negative reports. I called my bank & stopped the payment & cancell my card. All along I was informed about the despatch progress up to today.. 12 Aug.. when it was delivered! Good product I am still waiting for my replacing CT.card!! Sorry Snatched for my suspision. This was great!
After my 3rd email complaint, they acknowledged the problem and the next day all the channel information was available. The still did not tell my why their contact number is not working.
Bit of a problem to activate - instructions not so clear for older people! No indication what registration number to use - bit confusing. Once registered it worked fine. Then I could not get the correct flash drive - eventually at Hi-Fi Corp - only small one in stock - a pity. But it works well. Instructions again a bit complicated. BUT THEN AFTER 10 DAYS the "No Information" pops up on SABC 1,2,3. E-mailed their customer dept - got instructions to disconnect power to re-boot - NO RESULT. Tried to phone - phone just long beeps - day & night. I sent a 3rd email today - does not expect much. A pity the back-up service is so poor - because it seems to be a good system.
Following my concern a few days ago, I got the contact details of Deon at AMC and he gave me the service I am used to at AMC over the past 50 years. In actual fact it turned out the AMC started in 1968 (the year we got married!) in SA & we bought our first set of pots from them between 1971-73. He arranged to inform the shop staff about the repair cost to the cooker & I delivered it. Now awaiting the repaired & polished 30-year old cooker back in 6 weeks, ready for the next shift! These products will outlive us for sure! Well done.
Up to now, we are VERY happy with our AMC products. We started off buying pots in Pretoria 1n 1971 - 40 years ago. We expanded them over the years. In 1990-95, we visited Cape Town & had our post polished at the factory. It was great. Somewhere during that period we bought our AMC pressure cooker. My wife is using it DAILY for ALL her cooking. We have been replacing seal rings regularly. Until YESTERDAY - 2/5/2021 - our cooker lost it's pressure valve - all the food boiled out! - a mess. I cleaned the pressure valve & found that the pressure knob is loose. Opening it, I saw the knob has broken through the spring that is holding it in. Today we visited Bellville AMC for spares. I was immediately warned that opening it myself, I broke the guarantee. I understood that & did not expect a replacement without paying for it. I had to force them to phone the customer line to find out where I can get a replacement pressure knob. They held on for 5 minutes - very busy. I walked out. This is a real test for us - & for AMC. We have been bragging about AMC for 40 years and are still hard supporters of an outstanding product. I really hope we can get through to someone who who is more forceful & helpful than the normal desk clerks.
I struggled for a long time to find replacement filter for a Bennett Read Aero Vac vacuum cleaner. The telephone service is non-existent - just do not answer. Emails were answered quickly, but only the minimum information. I eventually got the street address of the warehouse, but turned around because I could not get access and phones were not answered. Email again - reply: ring the bell at the outside gate - no notice or indication! Once I got that far, it was all plain sailing - in & out within 5 minutes with the filters. Now I know. And I am very pleased with the Aero Vac. But so unprofessional in their correspondence. Not focused on individual service. Can improve.
I enquired yesterday by email, regarding a filter for a vacuum. I got a reply today - although my reference number was ignored. I was impressed - looking at the latest bad reports. So far so good. Will follow up.
I am a pensioner of 73 years old. Exposed to the use of computers for some 30 years, but always scared of the mechanics. Only started to buy online recently - very scared. I do a fair amount of printing, but always looking to save on ink & paper - refilled my own ink for many years till I switched to a Ricoh toner printer some 5 years ago. After all the local "refillers" of toner left Bellville area (Last one filled for R390), I was forced to start looking for the SP100e cartridge online. Zapor advertised for R299 + delivery cost. I was tempted but scared. Two months ago I phoned and the lady confirmed they stock the cartridge. I postponed because I was scared to buy online from unknown people! I noticed that they had one bad report, but a few very good ones - but decided to take the chance - based on despiration! On 15 October I ordered (adding a ream of paper to make it wortwhile) and struggled with the online payment (my ignorance). They phoned me and helped me through the process. I received the confirmation of order & payment immediately. The tracing of the process was very clear - I could see when the courier picked it up and was surprised to see him at my door, 3 days later!! I was very impressed and will use them again.
1ste time used. Outstanding service for a 73yr old inexperienced illiterate person. Fast delivery. VERY good price for sc**** Ricoh SP100 toner cartridge - better than local refill. AND the new cartridge had a refill hole as well!!. VERY pleased. Will use again
