expectations were FAR BEYOND exceeded
I would highly recommend Monate Game Lodge. It is an Awesome “Bush Getaway” perfect for couples. My wife and I recently stayed at Monate for our Wedding Anniversary. We didn't have a lot to spend. In fact, we were there on one of their "Winter Promotions" so we had very standard expectations. You know, a basic hotel room with bed, coffie station and on-suite bathroom. Nothing fancy… I am Glad to say, we were totally wrong! Our expectations were FAR BEYOND exceeded. We received the friendliest Welcome from Phindile and Tom upon our arrival. A “welcome” glass of champagne while we check-in and pleasant conversation about our trip. They informed us that unfortunately we were their only guests for the duration of our stay. Now normally most other accommodation venues would simply have told us that due to the fact we were the only guests, they would not be able to provide us with the full services and included activities. Not Monate. They bent over backwards to accommodate us. Upgrading our accommodations and making every event and experience an intimate and special occasion. We were taken on our Game drive by the Very Knowledgeable ranger Andreas. He made it very informative and fun. He genuinely friendly and had many humorous stories to share. We were treated to an intimate dinners for two in the Caves and the Boma, where our server Bongani waited on us Hand-&-Foot. Which he continued to do for the entire duration of our stay. The world definitely needs more people like Bongani. He truly went above and beyond! Every meal was beautifully prepared and looked so good it was almost a shame to eat it. Their Chef Khumo made every dish to the highest standards. From the Exotic Ox tail to the simplest thing like “Braai Vleis”. It was done to perfection! There is also the two ladies from the Spa, whose names have unfortunately escaped my “over relaxed mind” It was such a Beautiful, Blissful and Relaxing experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Then finally, the unsung Hero's of the Hospitality industry. All the Cleaning, Grounds Keeping and Transportation staff. All of them working in the background to keep the lodge running and looking tip top. Every person we encountered was friendly and accommodating. This is definitely a place We'll be returning to.

They've got "game"
Excellent meats, fantastically friendly & helpful staff and they know their "game" They aren't even situated close to where I live, buy they're definitely worth the drive. EVERY TIME!

Fast, friendly and to the point. They offer you options on batteries that work with your vehicle and let you choose the best for your needs. Also have a 2 year national warranty honored at any of their national branches.

The "TRUE" taste of portugal
Warm and welcoming, despite the cold weather outside. Delicious and Authentic. Gusto's is a true taste of Portuguese flavour and style, with Live music, exceptional staff and an excellent vibe. This makes Gusto's great for couples and large group dining. É família!

Where the sleepy town goes to get it's caffeine KICK!!
Own blends roasted on site. Rich aromatic coffees and delicious cakes. The perfect spot for a brake after a long morning of window shopping.

Achieving the nearly impossible
MOUNTAIN ODYSSEY Helped us find accommodation during a massive Cycling event, where just about everything was fully booked. They went the extra mile and I'll definitely use them again.

About Face!! - a Great turnaround
I've recently been back to this Ocean Basket, and I must admit. My opinion of them has improved since my last visit. Especially the service. The food was never really an issue. Well done to the shift managers, they were noticeably more hands on, which facilitated the improvement in service standard.

It's not procrastinating if you're drinking coffee... it's "procaffeinating"!!
Excellent coffee, great for a quick bite or a sit down with company. Highly recommend their Eggs Benedict! They also have an excellent budget breakfast that beats the "spur unreal breakfast" That in it's own, is a great feat.

Good coffee and good food. Great selection of quick and large meals. Multiple seating options available, however if the weather permits is.... Choose outdoors.

Sushi Lovers Delight
At first glance, this shop might go unnoticed as people tend to just pop in and order take-away from the Chinese food place. Do yourself a favour and take a seat! They have some of the best sushi I have tasted and excellent service from their surprisingly small staff compliment. Their pricing is very affordable. They also don't shy away from their creativity. Our Maître d' arranged for a few surprise items to be sampled during the course of out meal, and each item was a welcome treat. I would be no surprise of some of the items become favourite menu items. Like any food, you always eat with your eyes first, and I must say. Their presentation was outstanding. It was a delight seeing all the freshly prepared items ride around on the Sushi-Carousel. I would highly recommend this place for Family and Groups of Friends. As they have "Bar-styled" or "Table" seating available.
