I called up Wayne Fitchat whom I’d dealt with about a year ago when looking for a particular vehicle. This time round, I was looking to get into a Ford Ranger double cab and trade my Ford Everest. Wayne worked tirelessly for approximately a week finding me the right vehicle - and we landed on a 2019 4x4 Wildtrak. With me being in Cape Town and him in Pretoria, Wayne did all the checks for me. Test driving the bakkie, and sending videos of various tests I’d asked him to do. To top it off, he drove the Wildtrak down to Cape Town over Easter weekend, turned around, and drove my trade-in Everest back up to Pretoria. To say this is above and beyond normal service levels is an understatement. Dealing with Wayne was, once again, an absolute pleasure and I’m now happily back in a bakkie:-) If there were a 6 star option, I’d rate that. Thanks again Wayne!
The salesman, Wayne Fitchat from Silver Lakes branch went above and beyond to assist me in purchasing this vehicle. I am in Cape Town and the car is in Silver Lakes Pretoria. From doing video walk-arounds to test driving the car to collecting and dropping me at the airport, nothing was too much hassle. Unfortunately the less said about the Finance and Insurance department, the better. Thanks Wayne. I’ll definitely deal with you again any day.
I did a cardless cash deposit at Hout Bay FNB ATM yesterday at 5pm and the machine went into "device recovery in progress", and then rebooted itself. No receipt. No message. Nothing. The money was retained by the machine and there is no record of the transaction. I immediately called the helpline who said the only thing to do is to go into the branch this morning, which I did. I was then informed that it will take "3-5 working days to investigate....but they don't work on weekends" What utter nonsense is this FNB? YOUR Machine that we are forced to use for cash deposits (no tellers in Hout Bay and the fee for OTC deposits is much more) goes into reboot, and I must bear the brunt of this? How is that ever acceptable? You charge deposit fees, service fees, withdrawal fees etc etc but then this happens and you're not vaguely interested in asssiting? NOT ACCEPTABLE PRACTICE. I normally promote you as a bank, certainly won't any more. I wopuld like this remedied TODAY.
I ordered an Apple Watch cover+strap 44mm metal, and then immediately regretted it. Communicating with this company seemed robotic, with the minimum amount of information being given. I had resigned myself to the fact that perhaps this was a scam, which didn’t help when I went to check their online reviews. I’d given up hope but then received a tracking number, and 5 weeks after I placed the order, the strap arrived. Excellent quality, perfect fit and it looks the part. I’d say better than the pics. Super happy. If they would improve their communications then it would go a long way to keeping customers calmer.
I purchased a Chev Trailblazer in July 2021 from Andre Groenewald Motors. Being a 2nd hand vehicle, there are always the associated worries with a purchsae, but the car looked solid. When I collected it, the check engine light was illuminated and I pointed this out to the sales guy. I took the vehicle anyway and returned it a week later for diagnostics. Long story short, they have checked and changed the timing belt, the timing sensors, relays etc and the light stays on. They then had Reeds remove the gearbox to check if the sender unit for the sensor was faulty, no issue there. Then, with gearbox out, they checked the engine and noticed the reluctor wheel (timing wheel) was rubbing up against the block, This indicates bearing wear, which means engine needs to be opened up and bearings done. All of this is not cheap. Andre Groenewald not only approved the work to be carried out at their expense, but provided me with a loan vehicle for the whole period of being without my car. As it stands now the job is almost complete, but I feel that a solid 5 stars goes to all at Andre Groenewald Motors. Such unbelievable service from these guys - especially Andre. You all have been an absolute pleasure to deal with and certainly have a customer for life. Well done guys...
