We received unsolicited calls from this company offering to "assist" us with our debt. We only have an up-to-date home loan. What bothers me is they had info they could not have obtained without breaching the Popia act, including ID numbers, exact amount outstanding and what we've been overpaying. They also sent an SMS during this phone call that stated we gave permission for them to do a credit check. We did not consent to anything.
Looking at their modus operandi it seems they were trying to put us under debt review without our consent. We don't have debt except for a home loan which is up to date. They knew this information including ID numbers, the amount and with which bank, information they could not obtain without our consent. They sent a sms indicating we gave consent for a credit report that we did not. Their number doesn't work, their HelloPeter is full of "reviews" by new accounts. Reported to the NCR and Information Regulator.
I have a 20 month old fixed deposit account. When I started the investment I wasn't aware that I would require the funds before the 60 month period but as it is we are in the process of purchasing a house and I now require the funds I have invested. I was aware that there would be a early withdrawal penalty however I am shocked to find out that the penalties for early withdrawal is going to be more than what this investment has made in the last 20 months. Honestly I would like to know how after 20 months I will now have less money than what I initially put in. This is surely *******.
The data usage app on my phone says I've used 85mb this month, yet I've purchased 130mb. <br> <br> Secondly, and this is the case almost every single time, I get an sms stating \you have 4.98mb remaining"followed IMMEDIATELY with an sms stating \""you data bundle has been depleted\""<br> <br> I used to get away with 100mb a month"
