DSTV constantly bombarded me with spam telephone calls over the holiday season (3 to 4 calls a day) for decoder insurance or decoder upgrade. They abuse my personal information (cell phone number) to try and sell me something I have no interest in. I will be cancelling my subscription
I ordered a variety of drinks (cool drinks/beer/wine) online from Makro on the 2nd of May. I was told that delivery would be 2-5 days. A month later, almost 20% of the order (in value) has not been delivered. No-one at the call centre can provide a coherent response. My email's receive a response saying that they are "investigating". The rest of the order arrived in dribs and drabs making it difficult to monitor what has and hasn't been delivered. The bulk of the order arrived on the 8th of May, 6 days after the order was placed and too late for the function they were ordered for. Some basic items that reflected as available when I was ordering where not in fact in stock and I was notified of this a few days later.
I booked flights on British Airways 6 months ago for a flight in November. British Airways changed the times of both the outward and return leg of the flights on numerous occasions such that the new times were not suitable for my trip. My only option was too cancel and book with another airline at additional expense. In order to cancel I needed to phone them, which was difficult as there was always a message saying due to increased call volumes, answering times are longer than normal. Eventually after waiting at least 30 mins for a consultant and a further 30 mins of discussion, I was able to cancel. British Airways then had the cheek to email me after the call to say there was a problem with my booking and I must call them to discuss, and that they are unable to correspond via email. This was over two weeks ago and I have still to receive my refund. .
Cold called me with a misleading at best, and fraudulent at worst, story about how a financial institution was trying to open an account in my name and could one of their consultants come and see me. Highly unethical to cold call people and then spin a story not based on any facts. AVOID
My Credit Card was fraudulently used to purchase items on the Quench application to be delivered to a taxi rank. This occurred on three separate occasions. I can only assume that the name of the account holder who made the order did not match the name on the credit card. In addition the credit card was a Barclay Card from the UK, making the order to be delivered to a taxi rank even more suspicious. Quench will not provide me with the name or details of the order that was made on my credit card, and are insisting upon a subpoena from the Police. Per discussion with SAPS, they do not have the resources at the time to pursue this. Please do not support businesses that protect fraudsters and do not have adequate risk control procedures in place.
