We have used EconomyCarRentals before and noted no major issues. We always opted for the damage excess coverage. However, this time we actually needed to lodge a damage claim and after more than a month of constant follow-ups have received no indication of if/when the claim will be settled. They keep on blaming their ‘provider’ for the delays, but do not seem to be interested in closing the matter and assisting a loyal client of many years. I am very dissatisfied and will never use this company again.
The product arrived and was of high quality. They used reputable couriers so I was always in the loop and knew where the package was at all times. The package arrived earlier than expected which was great.
Medscheme's blunders have led to one of my dependents being refused mental health treatment for weeks due to Mescheme's administrative errors in the Mental Health Program department. The lady whom assisted us in a friendly manner captured the incorrect effective date for enrollment in the program, leading to Medscheme not paying for three treatments. Due to our account with the medical practitioner being in arrears by the tune of thousands of rands as a result of this error, my dependent is have been refused treatment for three weeks. The dependent is supposed to receive treatment at least once, but preferably twice a week. Now the buck is being passed between departments and the claims have been reprocessed numerous times, but no-one from the Mental Health Program seems to be willing to contact the accounts department to get the claims paid out. If someone reading this post is considering joining a Medscheme-administered medical aid I can tell such a person that, in my experience, they are great at collecting premiums, but appear to be inept at paying for valid claims.
I called 808 to ensure that my roaming was activated before coming to Europe. Now stuck in Spain without roaming as the request was not carried out by MTN even though I was assured it would be. I am losing money as a result and would appreciate it if someone at MTN can fix the situation immediately and let me know via email that it was corrected. Like others mentioned on the net, the call centre numbers do not seem to work from overseas. I am also obviously not reachable via my mobile as MTN roaming is not working.
