Do not work with this plumber. Wyne is unprofessional and extremely rude, his workers broke a window with their machine drilling to instal pipes, when I spoke to then upon seeing glass all over, they acknowledged that its their fault and they will fid it. I paid over R12000 for this job and 2 after the job was finished, and I had paid everything, Wyne won't replace my window, demands that I pay for it claiming it was unstable, and s such its not his fault. Started getting extremely rude and insulting, hanging up the phone when I tried to contact him as I was in Johannesburg, and had gone to Cape Town for a few days to sort this out. He has the frame and all, now entering third week of a windowless apartment.

The most atrocious service from the company, one thing after another, including me even sending a death certificate to the manager of the manager for them to actually understand my circumstances, waste of time. Dealing with Ntombizanele Johnson, my claim consultant, has been the most painful process off my life, and this on-top of having an accident when I was In Mpumalanga to arrange my father’s funeral. It took them 2 weeks from when I logged the claim, to approve it, with my car just sitting at the repair shop. When I called Ms Johnson three weeks in to alert her that my son is in the middle of exams, I need to be able to take him to school, and with all the delays, I’m concerned I’d be without a car as the rental from Avis is ending in 1 week. Avis who I didn’t sign up with, and I already had to pay one way drop off fee, because god forbid, my father and anchor dies, and under all the strain and stress of arranging his funeral and the sadness of loosing him, I’d have an accident 500km from where I live, and as such, tough for me, I had to be penalised for that, cause it’s Avis policy. Ms Johnson tells me not to stress, I should call or email her the day before rental expire and if my car isn’t ready, she will escalate so my rental can be extended. I send her such email a day before the 30 day rental expires, and I get a cold and dismissive ‘unfortunately’ email, that doesn’t take into account our prior conversation. I call her to find out why did she just send me an email stating what I already know it’s in my policy, and ask her if she even app**** herself and send the request for rental extension as discussed a week ago, and her answer was ‘NO’ she just copied and pasted the standard message to all clients, and proceeded to informs me that, she will try to send the request to her manager, because I am now insisting she does it as per prior agreement, but if it’s rejected, then tough I’d just have to be without a car, end of story. This is 1 month since I lodged my claim.
I booked and paid for an express delivery that would take 2-3 days to get to me, even paid more for kilograms as my package weighs under 100 grams but for over 3kg. Secondly I specifically paid extra so I can receive my package between the 3rd and 4th of December. On the morning of the 5th December I called their offices, and explained how urgent my parcel is, as I needed to drive 500km on the morning of the 6th December to burry my grandmother who raised me, and i absolutely needed the licence disk to make that trip. Their consultant told me after talking to his supervisor and verifying that the service I paid for is actually not what was used at collection, they used the cheaper and delayed one, despite me paying and choosing the faster one. That said the delayed one was still meant to take 3-4 days to get to me. And said they are still unpacking packages at warehouse and as soon as that’s done she will call me back, and that’s what the supervisor said. I explained again that I needed the package at my house by the end of the day on 5th December, she assured me she would call by the end of that day and my package would definitely be delivered. I never received any communication from the company, no call as promised or anything, clearly showing that they didn’t care in the slightest, the consultant told me whatever to get rid of me, and ignored my pleas. I suddenly found myself having to figure out how to get to my grandma’s funeral, as I can’t reschedule her death because the company I chose for courier is useless and ***********. Of all the competitors, I made the biggest mistake of choosing the worst. I emailed them on 6th November to request a refund for the service they couldn’t offer for the pain and inconvenience of all of this during the most difficult time of my life, now me and my family possibly aren’t able to go and burry my grandma. This is unacceptable to charge people premium prices but provide the cheapest service if any service at all, as in my case. Today is the 9th of December, the package that I was meant to receive on the 3rd or 4th December is still not with me, the company in not responding to emails or getting back to me in any way. I’d advise anyone to stay away from this company.
I was involved in an accident while sitting at the back of an Uber ride, on 23 December 2023, both me and my friend suffered pain in back and neck, during the impact, with one phone getting damaged. I called support while still in the car, spent over 30 minutes with driver all over the place, and not cancelling the ride during the commotion. I had to cancel it from my end as the 2 drivers had to head to police station and couldn’t complete ride. Then order another ride, which I had to pay for, and guess what, Uber refuses to refund me the money for the cancelation fee charged for the accident car. Nor do anything with damages I suffered, both physically and material due to the accident. Thud is utter ******* to be put through the hoops like this, it’s the 28th December 2023 and they still refuse to refund me.
Having car battery issues for the first time, was scary but Joelene Scholtz was great at assisting me, getting AA to come within 30 minutes and I was on my way.
