The worse company to deal with when it comes to account queries. They charge as they deem fit and you have absolute no recourse in arguing an account. If you don't pay they simply cut you off. We have a smart metre and submit our readings each month. We were billed and paid on time and in full each month. Months later they suddenly decided to reverse the readings and rebill at a higher amount resulting in a huge outstanding account. Despite numerous emails, calls etc the reason why we were rebilled (given the fact that my account clearly stated actual reading and not estimate reading) remains a mystery. They simply ignore your emails and calls and never get back to you. We were told pay or be cut - how do you just expect people to find excessive amount of money we are not all ****** like you! If I could give minus stars I would - disgusting and pathetic and your management should be ashamed of what Eskom has become. ******* and fat cats getting rich off pensioners and the poor!
For over 2 months now I have queried why I was charged a delivery fee - it came about as a result of them allocating a credit for goods that were in my basket and paid for, which they subsequently cancelled and then app**** the credit to the order. Promises and calls of we will speak to management about the cancelled items (gifts for a grandchild for Christmas) and a refund of your credit, have heeded nothing in 2 months. The "we will revert shortly" seems to stretch into eternity. My husband placed another order under his profile and guess what - they cancelled that as well. Was the Christmas period just to busy for them!!! Oh and they also didn't advise him so he waited for the items to arrive only to find they never did. On investigation they said the order somehow got cancelled and that his money will be placed back into his Takealot profile in the next few days! What's happened to the very reliable TAKEALOT we loved - seems like it's yesterdays news!~
Delivery was a little slow but the product was worth the wait.
Takealot expect products to be reviewed but if you complain about items being opened or damaged they reject your review. What is the point as you are unable to tell other potential shoppers to avoid the products? Money making for them and the suppliers and no protection for the consumer - disgusting actually!
I live in a remote area and ordered a few items online. Not only did I receive my order before the expected delivery date but when one of the items purchased was not what was expected, the returns process was extremely simple. I completed it online and elected to drop the item at one of their drop points. The drop point was very efficient and I was in and out within a few minutes and received confirmation via their app almost immediately. Now I am just waiting for my credit to my account. In all I think it was a #win experience! 10 out of 10.
My mother needed to move from her regular pharmacy during the pandemic to a smaller pharmacy for supply of her insulin for her diabetes. Bankmed rejected the invoices as they claimed the pharmacy over supplied as they gave her 2,5 months supply during lock down. When we contacted them, they then insisted we visit the pharmacy and insist they reissue invoices over a 3 month period which we did and resubmitted same. Again the claim remained unpaid as they decided the codes were incorrect and again rejected the claim telling us to once again have the invoices revised before resubmitting. This was duly done. After endless calls and empty promises, they now claim my mom used too much insulin!!!! How??? Insulin is a controlled substance - too much of it will kill the person. It's totally disgusting that her claim dates back to August 2020 and as a pensioner of 80, not only don't they bother calling back as promised, but expect her to run around from pharmacy to pharmacy to dot the i's and cross the t's to suit their "system requirements". It seems no-one is able to assist to get her claims paid. Utterly disgusted!
After going around and around with no assistance from Bankmed in resolving outstanding claims for my mom of 79, we eventually spoke to Aalia Naidoo of Bankmed. Aalia not only understood our issues, but personally committed herself to assisting and resolving the various claims and issues on my mothers behalf. She was most pleasant to deal with and really went the extra mile in assisting us, explaining the obstacles on her side and reverting on a regular basis. We just wanted to thank Aalia for all her kindness.
My 79 year old mother has gone several times to various branches of Standard Bank to try find an account she had which became inactive. The staff are totally unwilling or unable to assist her in tracking down her account. As a pensioner I feel this is disgusting and totally unacceptable. I wonder what happens to the funds in these accounts that become inactive and who has benefited! My Aunt passed away in 2009 and they were advised to close the accounts etc. I am still being contacted by them on a regular basis to tell me of the "new platforms" etc. They seem to prefer helping the deceased rather than the living!
When a Guest gives you a 5 Star Rating its worth sharing: - Hi there Just want to write a review for you guys. Best place we have stayed at in Clarens! Beautiful, clean, tastefully decorated and very well priced. Accommodation usually says fully equipped but this cottage really has absolutely everything you need for a weekend stay to a 2 week stay. Rolling amounts of contained garden for the kids to play and a outdoor fire pit to braai marshmallows was a surprising extra. The attention to detail is unparalleled and makes it 5 star accommodation. Owners were extremely helpful and freindly and made us feel welcome. Absolutely stunning gem of a cottage in peaceful and quiet part of Clarence and will definitely return for our next holiday.
<p>Outside our property (on the pavement) there is a leak and water is seeping out constantly.</p> <p>We have been reporting it for the last 6 months yet nothing is done to repair it despite everyone knowing that we are in a draught situation. </p> <p>I have been told there is an outside contractor appointed and we just need to wait. Once, after trying various avenues, they came out and replaced the meter saying it was sorted. Within a day or two the water reappeared so no, it is not sorted and continues to run - in fact my plants think they belong to an oasis now. </p> <p>The reference numbers and telephone calls are numerous - I have given up....!!!</p>
